Chapter 7

I woke up to birds singing and whistling, god they are annoying as hell. I hopped out of bed and put on a pair of yoga pants and my uggboots, I put my hair up in a bun and walked downstairs.
I go into the kitchen and I am starving, I totally forgot that I have absolutely no food, not even any drinks besides water.
I remember that I still have an apple and a packet of chips in my handbag. Yaas I won't go hungry this morning.

After I demolish my apple and chips I go upstairs to take a shower. I open the shower curtain and step into the steamy shower, as the hot water hits my skin I think about last night, the way jack looked at me and the way he just looks in general.

I step out of the shower and grab the towel from the rack and place it onto my wet body. I dab myself dry and get changed into my typical clothing, a band T-shirt and black ripped skinny jeans.

I decided to go next door and ask Katherine if she could take me to the store, I grab my phone and my purse and run out the front door slamming it behind me.
I walk up to the front door and knock 3 times, no one answers. On the 6th knock the door opens and I see a tall Jack standing before me, he just woke up because he yawned and rubbed his eyes.
"What do you want this early in the morning, Jessie?" I am still speechless because he is shirtless and he has an amazingly toned body.
"Uhm well I was here to see if Katherine could take me by the store because I need food and other things. Is she here?" He was staring into my eyes the whole time I spoke causing me to look down at my feet.
"Well seeing as it's 7:45 in the morning she is fast asleep" Jack says with attitude, damn he is weirdly handsome like that.

"Oh right sorry, my bad I'll come back later. Or I guess I could walk to the store, where is the nearest one?"

"Your not going to walk because the nearest one is 30 minutes by car and it would take even longer to walk there. I will take you"

"No no that's fine I'll wait for you Mother to wake"
"Actually well that would be nice if you drove me"
He gave me a smirk and motioned for me to come inside.

"Just give me 5 minutes and I'll be ready"

I nodded and sat down on the couch, I feel quite comfortable at this house now because I don't really know actually. It just feels like home.

"Okay let's go" Jack whispers running down the stairs.
I nod towards him and follow after him, shutting the front door behind me I quickly run over to Jacks car I guess and get into it.
This whole thing is really awkward because I know who he is and I'm pretty sure he knows who I am.
The majority of this car ride was spent in silence with no radio on at all, that was until my stupid mouth decided to pipe up.

"So I see your like quite popular on vine" I say almost too awkward to look at him.
"Yeah well I only started around 1 and bit years back, I only started because of my best friend Jack Johnson told me about it. I also have made heaps of cash and new friends too, so yeah I guess I'm quite popular."
"Oh that's pretty cool then" I say in amusement.

5 minutes after our 'amazing' conversation we arrived at a huge store.
"Wow what is this place?" I ask amazed

"I don't really know, I've been here once. But if you didn't see that massive sign Infront of you it is called 'Chris' Retail Store'" he blurs out with laughter and a smirk on his perfect lips.
I laugh with him and jump out his car.

We walk through the automatic doors and Jack grabbed a shopping cart, he insisted that he pushed it. This place is my new favourite, it is exactly the same as Walmart; it has food, drinks, furniture and other cool stuff like cosmetics. I led the way towards the fruit section, I grabbed a few apples and some bananas.

After I grabbed all the things on my list which consist of 4 loaves of bread, a dozen different fruits, spreads, pans and pots, knifes and forks and other essentials like that, 3 packets of chips and more unhealthy junk that I enjoy eating. We walk to a cash register with the least amount of people lining up. I couldn't help but stare at jacks perfect face, he is so gorgeous. I realised I was staring at him because I notice him waving his hand at me laughing, I break out of my stare and notice that he has started unpacking our cart.

The middle aged lady scans through my items and makes some small talk with both Jack and I. By the time she has scanned all of my items i had to pay.
I looked at the price I had to pay and my jaw was basically on the floor. I had to pay $123 and 30 cents. I didn't know it was gonna cost hat much for so little.
"Uhm would it be alright if I take a couple of items off?" I ask the lady politely

"Why?" Jack barged in
"Because I only have $97 on me at the moment" I say trying to get the point across.
"No no she would like to leave the items on okay. Don't worry I will pay the rest" Jack added with a smile on his face.

I hardly know this guy, he can't just spend money on me already. I just sighed and handed the lady all $94 in my purse, after me Jack handed over a card. He put in his code and packed the shopping cart with the bags, he pushed it towards his car and unpacked it for me.

"Hop in the car okay, I'll go put this cart away" he added before running off with the cart.
I climbed into my seat and sat there waiting for Jack too come back. I've only just met him and he out of all people wanted to take me shopping, this is weird it's not even that much awkward around him, yet.
He arrived back at the car and hopped into his seat, he brought a nice scent with him. It must be his cologne, it's a nice strong smell with a hint of sweetness. He puts the keys into the ignition and slowly reverses out, on his way out a car must've been driving past and before I knew it Jack hit the oncoming car.

"What the hell was that" I ask him more louder than I should of.

"Shit shit shit, I'm screwed if this is worse than I can imagine"

"Well we should go have a look then huh?" He is sitting in shock.
I get out of my seat and slam the door behind me causing Jack to break out of whatever he was in.
I walk over to the young female in the car Jack hit, she looked just as stressed as Jack. As Jack walked towards her car her face was lifted with relief.

"Oh thank god it's just you Jack, I thought it was some angry old man or something" the girl said as she wound down her window

"Oh god I know same here. I actually really sorry I'll pay for everything" Jack explains with an awkward smile.

"Hi I'm Jessie" my voice more cheerful than normal, breaking the awkward tension.

"Yes this is Jessie my cousin" Jack stares over at me with a glare. If looks could kill I would be dead.

"Oh.. I see, so are we still on for tonight then?" The shy girl asks laughing.

"Oh by the way my name is Steph" she says with a smile on her face.
I just smile in return and look at Jack. Jack and Steph argue about him wanting to pay for all the damage so I decide to go back into the car.
