Everyone has paired off into the own duo's, leaving Rachel to work up the courage to walk over to Santana. The last few times the two had talked, it hadn't ended well. For Rachel, anyway. So she wasn't exactly jumping at the chance to run over to Santana. But, the girl had a good voice, she couldn't deny it. So working with her wasn't all bad.

"Yo, Hobbit. You gonna talk to me?" Santana asked, making Rachel jump as she noticed she was standing right behind her.

"Sorry, I just ... I didn't want to annoy you" Rachel says.

"Well looks like you have no choice but to annoy me." Santana sighs as she slides herself into the seat next to Rachel.

"I'm sorry for earlier. I didn't mean to interrupt you and your friend." Rachel says quietly, fiddling with her fingers. Santana glances over at Rachel. She did look extremely shy, which Santana couldn't work out why. She had an amazing voice. Better than most in Glee. She almost felt sorry for her.

"Just forget about that. I want to get that spot for sectionals. I'm prepared to destroy everyone here for it. Pairing with you is probably my best chance. Well apart from Finn." She admits, which caused Rachel to blush, hiding it with brushing her hair to the side Santana sat on.

"Well, you're an amazing singer." Rachel says quietly. "You have a beautiful voice." The comment seemed to catch Santana off guard. She hadn't actually heard anyone say that too her. Sure, Mr. Shue always told her she was great, but he was her teacher. Not even Quinn or Brittany had told her that. And it made Santana feel.... Good?

"Thanks Manhands." Santana smiled softly, causing Rachel to look down at her hands with a furrowed eyebrows.

"I have Manhands?" She asks, pouting slightly. This caused Santana to burst out laughing. Not a mean laugh, but just laugh. Which caught everyone's attention. Especially Rachel's, but she had a proud look on her face. Making the girl who was a bitch to you laugh seemed like a good way to go.

"Anyway." Santana coughed, her face Redding slightly from embarrassment. "Yes you do, but that's beside the point. We need to work out our song. But, we can't just choose. We need to go through alot of different love songs. Find out what fits our voices, and go from there."

"Wow, you know your stuff." Rachel admits, slightly shocked. Santana simply shrugs as she folds her legs and leans back on her chair.

"I've been in glee for over a year now. We can't do this shit half-assed. So, you are coming over to my house tonight. And we will work it out from there." Santana tells her. Which had caught Rachel off guard. She hadn't expected Santana to invite her over.

"Oh, yeah, I mean, I'll have to let my dad's know." She says and Santana eyes raise ever so slightly.

"Two dad's?" She asked quietly and Rachel nods.

"Not a problem is it?" She asked, noticing Santana tense up slightly at the answer. Her eyes glued to her hands for a few seconds, before she shook her head.

"No, none at all, Berry." Santana finally answered. Rachel felt like asking what the reaction was about, but thought it was best not too push her luck with Santana, she really didn't wanna get on her bad side. "You can have dinner at ours, if you want." Santana offers, her expression showing she was even surprised she had offered.

"I mean, I'm vegan. I'd hate to put you or your family through the trouble of finding something for me." Rachel replies, and Santana shrugs.

"Don't be, my... My mum is also Vegan, so we can sort you out." Santana said. Rachel smiles and nods.

"That sounds lovely, Santana."

***

For the rest of Glee, the two talked about options for their song. They had alot of ideas, but decided to wait till they were at Santana's to narrow it down. Rachel decided to go with Finn to lunch, where Quinn walked over to Santana and Brittany.
