Santana was up earlier than normally the following day. The sun barely shining through the gap in her curtains as she stretched across the bed, the memories from the night before flooding back as a warmth took over her. How good it felt to have Rachel in her arms, how right it felt. She had heard of people wanting a moment to never end, she didn't understand it till then. All she wanted to do was freeze time so she could hold Rachel forever in her arms.
Santana grabbed her phone and saw that she had a text from Rachel.
Rachel:
Still on for breadstix? You made a compelling argument last night on their vegan breakfast. I need to see if your word is as good as you say!
Santana smiles to herself as she rolled her eyes, pushing herself up on the bed.
Santana:
Berry, when I say something, it's always the truth. I'll be at yours in forty minutes x
Santana chucked her phone back on the bed as she yanked her covers off and stepped out, feeling the cold air hit her hard, sending shivers down her spine. The worst thing of getting out of bed was always the temperature change, Santana thought. No matter what, she was always hit by the cold air and every time she gets the shiver. And she felt the creeping thought of having Rachel on her arms, keeping her warm. A blissful thought.

Santana pulled up outside Rachel's house as she waited patiently for the brunette, although she had last night's memory to keep her company.
Last night...
Santana pulled up outside Rachel's house and gently put it into park, her eyes fixated on the steering wheel as she tried to come up with something to say. She was usually good with this, but right now, she was drawing a blank. Well nothing that would help anyway.
"I had a really lovely time with you, Santana" Rachel says with her usual politeness as her face grew with her contagious smile. Every time Rachel smiled, Santana couldn't help but smile herself. They had been together for hours after they left the restaurant, cuddled up by the lake. It was much slower than Santana was use to, but it was still welcomed. She felt like she could get use to a slower pace.
Aslong as it was with Rachel Berry.
"So did I." Santana admits as she reached for Rachel's hand and took it in her own. "I know I messed up, Rach." God, Rachel loved it when Santana called her that. Anyone else she wants to strangle, but with Santana, it just sounds right. "And I'm sorry. I got scared and freaked out. But I promise, I'm trying to work through it."
"I know you are, Santana. We both are. And... I'm glad we can figure this out together." Rachel says. "But, I need to figure out what's happening with Tina. I know that it sucks for you, and I'm sorry. But... I can't hurt her." Santana nods as a sad smile forms on her face, bringing Rachel's hand to her mouth as her lips graze along the back of her hand.
"I understand Rachel. I don't expect you to go against who you are for me. It wouldn't be right. But you should know I don't plan on stopping fighting for you." Santana says and Rachel flashes an appreciative look as she squeezes Santana's hand.
"I look forward to being fought for. But don't kill Tina." Rachel says, to which Santana huffs as she rolls her eyes.
"Take all the fun out of it why don't you." Santana winks.
Now...
Santana couldn't help but smile about everything that happened last night. It was as if she could finally be herself, after years of pushing it away. All because of the small brunette. And it was one of the best feelings she had. The only problem was Tina. That quiet bitch had taken Rachel away from her. She had to give the girl some props ,however. She would never of expected Tina of all people to whisk Rachel away.
