Getou looked down at Gojou, who rose from the couch he was laying on. "We need to go now," he tried to stand but you stopped him. "No, stop. You need time to rest. You lost a lot of blood,"

"I don't care," he responds and you stare at him. "Well, I do. So I'm gonna need you to stay put,"

You back away from him. "There are things that need to be done. Your dad is still out there with Mahito. Getou knows where they are. Together we'll go and kill them both," he then stopped, shaking his head. "I'm sorry, that was insensitive of me to say."

Crossing your arms, you lean against the couch. "It's fine. I need you to know that...I know that you have to do it, and I want you to," maybe you'll be sad about it. Maybe not, who knew. It had to be done, right? Otherwise, this would be going on for way longer than it should.

Nanami appeared in your mind again and instantly you felt sick. Rushing away, you went into a bathroom and vomited. The fact you had to leave him behind. Should you even mention it to Gojou? Or would that just make things worse? "Gojou told me to come to check on you," you heard a knock on the door.

"I'm fine," you say, taking a seat near the tub. He left his spot near the door and went back over to Gojou. "We leave without telling her. Nobody knows where this place is, so she'd be safe,"

Gojou looks at him. "After everything you did, you expect me to trust you?"

"Yeah...I do," Getou holds his hand out for Gojou to take. His blue eyes divert to it, debating if he should or not. Taking a glance back at the bathroom door, he swallowed hard, his hand slipping into Getou's firmly as he began to help him up off the couch.

Your eyes began to close when you heard the front door shut. Jumping to your feet, you turn the doorknob and you cant get it open. Getou had put something on the other side to keep you in there. "Satoru?" you call out softly, wiggling the knob before banging on the door. "Satoru! I know you did not leave me in here!"

After trying so hard, you were finally able to overpower the door. But that just so happened to be when they came back. At first, hearing them talk outside the door startled you, but it was okay now. Your back hits the counter behind you and Gojou over, meeting your gaze.

His hand was pressed against his wound, and you could only imagine that it had started bleeding again. No hospitals involved both of them said, which you understood but you wanted him to be okay.

Walking over to him, you wrapped your arms around his figure. His eyes closed at your touch, finding comfort. "It's over," he says calmly. Gojou's hand begins to run up and down your back, rubbing it gently. That meant that they had killed your father and you couldn't help but imagine what had actually happened over there.

Gojou sent out some people to clean up the safehouse but you wanted to go, so you could help with Nanami's body and possibly even Kiyotaka's. He denied your request, saying that there will be a funeral soon for them and that going there might be too dangerous right now.

You weren't going to fight him on it. Instead, you watched as he said his goodbyes to Getou before you two got ready to leave. "Thank you for the help," Gojou thanked him.

"Yeah, well...I don't know. We'll see where everything leads after this. And take care of her, she's a good one," you smile at Getou's words as he glances over to look at you. "Oh yeah, I know that, see you around Suguru,"

That was the last time for a while you'd see Getou. But now, you were home, waiting on your mom to arrive. You knew she was safe and all, but you were anxious to see her. Maybe cause you knew that once your hands were around her, you'd break out into tears.

You've cried enough, though. "You okay?" Gojou asks, limping. You look him up and down before looking away. "Yeah, I'm okay. Exhausted. What a day..." the sun was coming up and you heard a car pull up.

"Y/n!" your mom shouted and you jumped up, running over to hug her. You made sure to squeeze her tightly. "I'm so sorry."

Here came the tears. "Everything is going to be okay," your mom's eyes diverted over to Gojou, watching as he began to limp inside the house. Shoko and another woman stepped out of the vehicle, looking at each other before walking inside.

Finally, you and your mother decided to go inside as well. It was too dangerous to be out anyway. Gojou stood in his office and you left your mother's side, going in to see him. "Are you okay?"

He was crying. "I let so many people die...you could've died!" he pointed at you, tears running down his face. "But I didn't. I'm right here,"

"That doesn't make me feel better, Y/n. I know, I'm happy you're here, but I let my guard down. How did they even get inside? I just..." he slid down the wall, his face in his hands. "Nanami is dead. And that's my fault. Maybe if I hadn't let him come back...he'd still be here."

You sat beside him, your arm wrapping around him. "I miss him too. And I wish there was something that could be changed to bring him back, but..." he began sobbing and you pulled him closer to you. "I love you, Satoru. And I'm never gonna leave your side, we will get through this together,"

And the two of you sat there for a long time, just being there for each other and occasionally finding time to smile. Hopefully, things would start to change.
