I'm on the stage of the AMAs in front of everyone on bended knee feeling completely embarrassed. I just asked the love of my life to marry me and she said no. I continued to look at her and she smiled at me,

"I'm kidding!" she laughed "how could I say no?! Yes I'll marry you"

I smiled and slipped the ring onto her finger and stood up holding her in my arms. I looked at her as tears fell from my face,

"That's what you get for kidding with me about Maria" she laughed

"I'm sorry"

"I love you baby" she smiled

"I love you too"

I looked out into the crowd and we have a standing ovation with everyone clapping and crying. I kissed her and she smiled. She's mine she's finally all mine. Everything I told her I meant she makes me a better person. I love her for her and I know she loves me for me.

"Alright" I looked out into the crowd and couldn't stop smiling this night is amazing and it's all thanks to her "now while I get the envelope for best video duet and Payton goes to change back into her dress, go ahead and see the nominees"

A blonde haired girl wearing denim jeans and a red t-shirt with headset ran out and handed me the envelope. The camera pointed back to myself,

"Alright and the winner is" I opened the envelope and smiled when I saw the name printed in golden letters "my wonderful fiancé Payton Miller for The Don't Know The Real Us"

I watched as she walked up the steps in the black dress with Maria at her side. I handed her the award and kissed her cheek. As I stood behind her as she gave her speech I smiled. She deserves every award she's nominated for she is a hard working artist,

"Jake would you like to say anything?" she asked looking back

I stepped up to the mic,

"I'm so thankful for this award, it means the world to me and I know it means everything to her making this video and song together was the best thing ever, she's an incredible artist I'm so glad she won this award"

We stepped off stage and it went to commercial.

-Payton's P.O.V-

We're backstage just hanging out the awards are over and everyone is congratulating me on my award but in reality it's Jakes award as well. Jakes arms are firmly around my waist. We're heading to the door when someone stepped in front of us,

"Payton you were so hot up on stage" the male said

"Thanks"

"I wouldn't mind being André oh my gosh he was so lucky"

I just looked back at Jake and he's trying so hard not to hit him. Jake led Maria and I around the male,

"If you need any back up dancers give me a call" he yelled

Jake pushed through the back doors and told the valet to bring the car around,

"What's wrong?" I asked

He faced me "I don't like guys looking at you like that"

I just stood there remaining confused

"what?" I asked

"I don't like guys looking at you like your a piece of meat you are so much more than that, matter of fact I don't like guys looking at you like that at all"
