Chapter Five

Getting a loved one back is the hardest thing you could possibly do, and I'm going to win Payton back even if I have to jump through fire I will get her back and I will treat her better than any man would. Once I see something I like I go after it until I get it. I'm very persistent.

As I drove to the mall I kept looking back at Maria looking at Ryan sitting beside her,

"So your telling people about Maria?" Chris said

"What?"

He showed me his phone and it's Payton's Instagram page. It's an old picture of her and Maria

"Looks like it" I smiled

"Awww daddy gets to tell the world about his little princess" Chris cooed

"About time" Josh laughed

I looked back at Maria looking out the window and smiled.

We finally arrived at the mall and we all got out. I un-hooked Maria from her car seat,

"What are we getting here?" Caleb asked

"Whatever you guys want" I smiled

"Really?!" Josh asked

"Fine you guys too I'm buying" I smiled

We headed inside,

"Looks like your happy" Chris said

"I mean why wouldn't I be I finally can tell the world about Maria"

I watched as she ran across the parking lot. I saw a car coming her way,

"Maria!" I yelled grabbing her attention

She stopped and ran over to me. I picked her up and she laid her head on my shoulder,

"It's going to be hard being daddy and big brother" Chris smirked

He opened the door for me and I walked in with the guys trailing behind,

"Yeah but I manage when she goes with her mother I spend time with my siblings"

As we walked inside heads immediately turned some doing double takes,

"Ryan and Josh watch Caleb and Carly Chris you help me with Maria"

They all nodded. As we walked through Barnes and Nobles a magazine caught my eye. I went over to it and held it with my free hand. It's Payton and I back when we were happy Jake Thomas Ruined The Relationship is written in bold letters across the picture. I felt tears form in my eyes "got that right" I exhaled and put it back then went back to the group.

We made it out and we're now in the mall where people continued to stare and take pictures. We passed Hollister, Spencer's and Victoria Secrets as we passed that store I quickly glanced inside and saw so many things that would look perfect on Payton.

As we made our way through the mall going into every store someone caught my eye. A very familiar someone a person who I love very much. She's standing there in black jean shorts and a hot pink belly shirt with white converse shoes her long blonde hair in Texas curls. She's looking in a window just then I saw someone who I can't stand. Justin walked to her and put his arm around her. Her cheeks turned a crimson red she kissed his cheek and they started walking this way.

Instead of moping around the house I decided to go out. I was walking around the mall when a diamond necklace caught my eye. I looked at it through the glass window "I wish I had that necklace" I saw Justin walk out he smiled and put his arm around me,
