Chapter Thirteen

Jake and I walked down the steps and into the living room where my friends are seated on the couch with the boxes still unpacked. As I continued my way down the steps I still couldn't believe that we are now doing this. This is the biggest change that has ever happened to me recently and I'm still trying to get used to this. I stepped into the living room and both of my friends looked at me and they knew something was up because the huge smile that I knew was plastered onto my face,

"What's going on?" Jade questioned

I held out my hand which held the ring and she quickly jumped up to examine the ring on my finger,

"That's a huge ass rock!" she exclaimed

I pulled my hand back and just looked at Jake,

"So is that an engament ring?" Ted asked with an eyebrow raised

I quickly shook my head,

"That won't be happeing for a while!" Jake yelled from in the kitchen

I rolled my eyes and went over to the bay window and saw Maria out in the front yard talking to a boy her age. I started to smile as she offered him one of her toys. She's such a great kid and it's going to pain me when she is going to go to school I can't stand to be away from her for an hour let alone eight. Just then another adult came into the yard and I quickly made my way out front. She went over to the young boy and then smiled at Maria, once she saw me she made her way over,

"Hi my name is Julia Martez"

she extened her hand and I shook it,

"Hi my name is Payton Miller"

"I'm guessing you're the new neighbors" she smiled

"Yeah"

I looked at Julia's physical apperance and she's my height with jet black hair and brown eyes she's a beautiful woman seems about in her late twenties she's wearing a yellow sundress with blue sandals she seems very down to earth,

"Well you're going to love it here it's quiet and the neighbors are amazing" she boasted

"That's glad to hear, my boyfriend and I want to raise our daughter in a wonderful enviorment"

"Well then this is the place"

"How old is your daughter" she glanced back at Maria and then me

"Maria is four she'll be five next month"

"awh that's good"

"What about your kid?"

"Mario? he's five he'll start school soon and that's going to kill me he's my little man"

she looked back at her son and smiled.

Just then Jake came out the front door and jogged over to us I can tell he was a little worried. When she looked at him she didn't look at him like he was a super star she looked at him like a normal person and I knew he enjoyed that, because everytime he did look at someone they became star struck and I knew it killed him. He just wants to be a normal person which he can't be now,

"Jake this is Julia Martez...Julia this is my boyfriend Jake Thomas"

he streched out his hand and she gladly excpeted it,

"Hello" he said with a smile

"Hi"

We contiued to talk until there was nothing to talk about and plus it was getting late so she politley excused herself and took her son with her but before she left she invited us to dinner which we gladly excpeted. Jake and I went back into our little house and started to unpack until it was time to get ready for Julia's dinner,
