Guess who finished typing all his prewritten stuff? Send in requests, please! You have until May 20, loves! After that, I'm out until August!
Also, I think I just knocked a huge chip off my shoulder this weekend! Me and my dad don't really have the best relationship, in fact we don't have one at all. We haven't talked properly outside of him being annoyed/pissed at me for the past year, maybe even longer. I noticed it when I was talking to my therapist the other day. I mentioned it to him on Friday afternoon, and we hung out this weekend. I feel pretty good now compared to how I did last week.
Sorry for the mini-rant, thanks for reading, loves! -Cooprin
"We've taken different paths, And travelled different roads"
You were raised by the Ravagers, just like Peter Quill. But where he grew up to become like them, you left as soon as you could and lived a simple life of farming on a planet full of forests and lakes. Of course you missed him, the two of you were best friends, but that didn't mean you'd choose any differently if you had the chance to do it again.
"I know we'll always end up on the same one when we're old"
Of course, you knew you'd see him again one day. It was inevitable. You just weren't expecting it to be when he crashed his quinjet into your crops. After grabbing a blaster, you'd run out to see who was there, and he instantly recognised you. "Y/N?" The scruffy man asked. "How do you know my name?" He grinned. "It's me, Peter. Remember?"
"And when you're in the trenches"
Peter introduced you to his crew, who all seemed relieved to finally see you. "He never shut up about you!" Rocket groaned. "Haha, sorry about that." They all were happy to let you join their ragtag group. "We're the Guardians of the Galaxy!"
"And you're under fire I will cover you"
You'd never been a fighter, but that didn't mean you wouldn't do it if necessary. "Peter, look out!" You yelled a year after joining them, right as you pushed him aside. You felt a pain in your side, and saw blood beginning to spread. "Oh, shit."
"If I was dying on my knees"
Peter rushed to get everyone out of the fight, and gave you immediate medical attention. "What the hell were you thinking, Y/N? I can handle myself!" He growled, but was glad you were alive. "Aw, shove off. You know I'd die for you."
"You would be the one to rescue me"
You almost did, too, countless times. And he was always there to get you out of it. "Stop getting hurt for me. I'll be fine." You laughed quietly. The two of you slept in the same room on his ship. "Pfft. I know I said I'd die for you, but don't worry. You're always there to save me first."
"And if you were drowned at sea, I'd give you my lungs so you could breathe"
When Thanos snapped, you watched your best friend turn to dust. It felt like your heart had been ripped out of your chest. When he came back, five years later, you hugged him so tight he almost passed out. "Sorry. Sorry." You hugged him again, gentler this time. When he hugged back, you smiled. "Hey Peter?" He nodded. "Yeah?"
"I've got you, brother."
"I missed you." Peter laughed. "I know. I can tell. But hey, I'm back. And I'm not leaving this time." The two of you pulled away, and he gave you a lopsided grin as he squeezed your shoulder. "I've got you, brother."
