Some sat on the living room floor around the coffee table while the rest sat on the surrounding couches and armchairs eating their different flavor ice creams while talking to one another, even though it was 4 in the morning. Kita didn't even seem to mind either, he saw the team bonding and for some reason (L/N) was the reason why. The only reason he stayed was because he thought of an idea that could satisfy the team but also help (L/N) in return.
Kita was the first to notice the way she carried herself when he first met her. Yes she was polite and respectable but her eyes had something in them almost emotionless. When he'd see her around the school he would see her either looking out in the distance or talking to Gin, mostly the latter. She never showed her emotions but tonight was different. She was actually joking with the team and laughing. She genuinely looked like she was having a fun time, her once lifeless (E/C) eyes were now sparkling with every stupid joke his teammates made.
"(L/N)." Kita called out, this stopped all the conversations and the jokes mainly out of curiosity.
"Yes Kita." She responded slightly nervous because her house was somewhat messy. By somewhat, there's a bra in the corner of the room that no one has noticed yet.
"I was wondering if you would like to be our manager." He said standing from his seat and then bowing to her.
"Yea' ya' should join us." Atsumu yelled which earned a smack from his twin.
"Shut yer' trap Tsumu, ya wake up the neighbors." Osamu said in his usual monotone voice.
"I...I don't know much about volleyball so I'll only be a burden to you guys." (Y/N) responded, scratching her neck.
"Oh come on (Y/N) knowing you, you'd do great." Gin said reassuring the girl as he rubbed her arm for comfort, something he usually does.
"Yea and we could be one of those real powerhouse schools with a manager." Atsumu added.
"What Tsumu means is that we could really use the help." Suna chimed in unexpectedly.
(Y/N) thought about it for a moment, weighing out her pros and cons. If she did become a manager she'd have more time to hang out with her best friend. But a part of her was still scared, what if the same thing that happened in the past happens again. How was it that all these boys had managed to break down all the walls that she's placed in a matter of weeks.
Granted she has been happier than before but she's still scared, she doesn't want to be hurt anymore. So why is it that she's more afraid of getting hurt than dying?
"I'll do it." She mumbled.
Monday rolled around pretty quickly. After the team had left in the early hours of the night (Y/N) went straight to bed not wasting anytime. It was nice talking to people and actually feeling like she had friends. She woke up a little later in the afternoon with her mom kissing her forehead like she'd done many times before.
It wasn't till Sunday night that she began researching things about volleyball. 'If I'm going to do this I might as well do it right' she said to herself. She looked up the basics about each position, tactics that can help rarely anything that can both boost her understanding and also be beneficial for the team.
Now here (Y/N) was being rudely awakened by someone who barged into her room and yelling.
"(Y/N) get yer ass up." The voice yelled, ripping open the curtain. The early morning sun made its way into her room with it's warm orange and yellow hues. If it were any other day, she'd wake up with a smile.
"It's too early." She grumbled from her nest of blankets, not making out the owners of the voice.
"Tsumu that's not how ya wake up someone." Another voice said. 'Atsumu? Why is he in my room?'
She decided to take a peek to see who were the intruders who broke into her room and interrupted her peaceful slumber. Opening a small gap just enough to see who had entered she was greeted by her ever so loving neighbors and Suna.
"Why are you guys in my room?" She asked, her voice a little raspy.
"We have morning practice." Suna announced.
"Oh right." She mumbled before ripping the blanket off of herself and swinging her feet off the bed. Still sitting on her bed she stretched with a small smile on her face, her back facing the boys. "Do I need to bring anything?" She asked, sounding more awake.
"Yer gym clothes and yer uniform." Atsumu answered.
(Y/N) didn't answer, she got up from her bed and started making it to her liking making a mental note to change her sheets and clean her room which she still hadn't done like she said before. When she was done she went over to her dresser to grab the clothes that she needed for the day.
"Ma do you have my good leggings?" (Y/N) yelled from her room. Her mother was surprisingly home, something about what Haru did during the vacation and Ayumu was also mad at her man. The details were vaguely there, all she remembers is both dads were in hysterics when they came home while the mothers just turned a cheek.
"Second drawer to your right." Surprisingly Ayumu yelled back from somewhere in the house, possibly the kitchen. After everything that she'd done for the (L/N), she had asked (Y/N) to call her Ma because she declared herself her second mother, (Y/N) having no say in it had to do it regardless of what her feelings she had towards her were.
"Good leggings?" Atsumu asked. The other two boys were chilling on their phones and had somehow found their way onto her bed. Atsumu was sitting on her piano bench which (Y/N) didn't mind as much.
(Y/N) only nodded as she stuffed her gym uniform into a gym bag. Then going into the bathroom to do her normal routine only quicker than usual. When she was done the three boys were no longer in her room. 'Respectable' She thought with a grin. But in reality Osamu had to drag Atsumu out the room for privacy reasons.
Now dressed in her uniform she grabbed both her gym bag, school bag and blazer which she hadn't put on yet and went downstairs where she was greeted by her mother and Ayumu both glaring at each other and drank out of their cups.
"Good Morning." (Y/N) greeted walking past the two to get a granola bar.
"Morning sweetie." They both said before glaring at each other.
"Well I'm heading out now." (Y/N) said, giving them a glance. 'yellow's sus' She thought before chuckling quietly.
It was going to be a really long week, a long and tiring week.
