"Why isn't he picking up?" I mumbled by myself for the tenth time and put my phone back in my pocket before going back inside the cafe where I worked.

"Kazuya, I heard the news, do you want to leave early today?" Minami-san said with an understanding smile and I nodded wholeheartedly.

Hastily, I changed my work clothes, grabbed my bag and rushed home. Although I expected such a result because this world was a hell for the weak, I was sure my father was devastated.

The bus ride took the whole eternity until I reached my stop. From there, I almost ran to our house as I felt something was off.

"Father?" I called out, and although there was no reply, his shoes were there. I threw my bag on the floor and went to his room to check.

He was really there...

Hanging from the ceiling with a white rope around his neck.

With trembling hands, I saved him from the rope and laid him on the bed. I found out he wasn't breathing and he had no pulse. I tried to do CPR, but it didn't work... I slumped on the floor with a muddled head, repeating it wasn't real, I was just dreaming.

I don't know how much I sat there, drowned in agony, but when I came back to my senses, I covered my father's dead body with a sheet and noticed the envelope on the bedside table with my name written on it. With shaky fingers, I got rid of the envelope and unfolded the letter which went like:

My dear son,

I am so sorry for leaving you behind all alone, but I cannot carry this heavy burden anymore. It was my responsibility, as well as my promise to your mother, to take care of you, but I failed miserably. Because of me, we had very hard days and you had to drop out of university. Although the situation was not promising, I believed in the supremacy of law and justice, but saw that money is everything in this world.

I failed you as your father and just hope that one day you will forgive me for my selfish act.

Please don't be so sad because I will finally be able to see your mother again.

I am proud of you, Kazuya,

Your father.

The letter fell from my grip onto the floor and was followed by me a second later. I cried my heart out and prayed for my father's soul to be in peace. When I was done with crying, I folded the letter and placed it back into the envelope before putting it onto the bedside table. With a new resolution, I left the room and went to mine. I took out my hidden treasure, the flash disk I named Koi, and plucked it to my laptop.

A few minutes later, my hands were dancing on the keyboard and the codes were filling the screen. KCG's computer system was good as I expected, but who can prevent a heart burning with revenge?

I sneaked into their system, unbeknown after circumventing the firewall and the company was now at my mercy.

I reached their accounts and transferred hundred billion yen to different accounts in three continents, making the tracing impossible. Then, I divided the money into one hundred and six, and arranged it to be sent to the accounts of the fired employees in ten instalments. Once done, I plucked a worm to the system to destroy it slowly from inside and finished my revenge by sending several documents to all media outlets.

I didn't hide my existence in the last part, allowing them to find me. I hid Koi inside the luminaire in my room and sat back on my chair, waiting for the police.
