---Eves POV---

"I can't be a counselor. I mean I'd love to help people with their feelings but I don't have a degree in psychology. I have a degree in-"

"Relax, I'm sure she meant well. Besides, if you did want to go that route, you could just be a substitute teacher again while you get your masters or whatever to be a counselor. What do you want to do?" Lilly was scrolling on her phone as I complained.

"What do I want to do?.. I don't know. for years I've just wanted to get away from Empurity and do something on my own. Now that it's up to me, I'm not sure." I plopped on the bed on my stomach and groaned.

"You've been defiant for the last twenty or so years, yeah yeah. Got it already. What do you want to be in this moment?" I couldn't see it but I could hear her eye roll.

"I want... I want to be happy and free." I moaned rolling my head to look at her better.

"I like that answer but you're already free, now we just got to make you even more happy." She smiled dropping her phone.

"I am happy though, I'm not being controlled so I-I think I'm happy?" I questioned myself.

"No you're not. You're confused and settling because you finally have a moment of freedom and silence. What do you want to do in this very second? We could go for dinner, we could go out on the town and have the city at our disposal since it's ladies night. What do you want to do right now and we can figure out from there what you want to do with your life."

"I..." I thought for a moment. I never got the chance to think before. "I want to sleep." I chuckled as I sat up and tried to think a little harder. "Honestly, I've never tasted liquor before." I smirked seeing the smile spread across Lilly's face.

"That's my girl. Come on, get dressed into something sexy and let's go!"

"Actually, is there any way we can just pack up and dodge straight to Paris? I think that's our best bet." I laughed nervously remembering I didn't bring any clubbing clothes with me.

"Seriously? Come on, I've been dying to see what kind of clubs they have here. Stop with that nonesense or you might not meet your soulmate." She winked to me before walking towards my closet.

"Wait, no, I can get myself dressed." I fumbled the words out of my mouth as I fell onto the floor in a failed attempt at stopping her from rummaging through my closet.

"Really? All you have is casual and business clothes. Where's all your party clothes?" She paid no attention to me as I struggled to pull myself up using my sheets.

"I had no room for them in my bags. Besides, you know I didn't have that many party outfits thanks to Mr.Stars." I rolled my eyes referring to my father.

"I figured you'd say something like that. Come on, my dad's gave me some extra money, we can at least get you a good decent party dress and some shoes." She closed my closet and grabbed my hand just as I had stabled myself making me unstable once more causing me to fall again on the floor.
