"There's a room down here?" Threx asked himself as he slipped into the secret room. He looked around only seeing black, he pulled out his phone and turned on the flashlight.

"Woah... this must be." He saw a shrine. Dedicated to the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen. There was a golden statue with white candles surrounding it.

"How the hell am I supposed to read this?" He asked seeing the inscription was written in ancient Greek. He looked down at his phone and crossed his fingers as he went to a free online translator.

'Echidna, a monstrous she-dragon. With a breast and head of a woman and the tail of a coiling serpent. She represented the corruptions of the earth rot, slime, fetid waters, illness and disease. The consort of Typhoeus/Typhon-- the monstrous, multi-headed storm giant who challenged Zeus to the throne of heaven. Together they spawned a host of terrible monsters to plague the earth. Claimed to have been slayed with the arrows of Python and Apollon.'

"Wait... is Echidna my mother?" His mind flashed back to the woman he always thought birthed him. The abuse she put him through and the pain he suffered at her hands. "There's no way that woman could have been my mother. She never understood what it was to be a mother.." He whispered as he looked at the statue again.

"You don't look like some kind of she- dragon." He said looking close. Her eyes were closed. Her hair was long enough to reach the heels of her feet. She was holding 'a guitar? No, a liar' he corrected himself. Her cheeks seemed soft, even made from gold. Her nose was small and her jaw could cut glass, even looking down as she was.

Threx almost dropped his phone as it began to vibrate in his hands. "Cheeses and infinite Zeus." He gasped looking at the text message he had received. From Harut. 'You must come to the center of the city in half an hour. Leave your mortal sidekick.'

"Wait, how'd she get my number? She's a prince of hell so does she even have a phone? Wait, wouldn't she be a princess of hell?" He asked himself loudly as he exited the hidden room and put the planks of wood back in there place.

"Be careful what you speak child. Some of us may appear as female mortals but just as your gods, we can change our appearances. If you were to see your own father, you'd have to bleach your eye sockets." He heard a voice but could not find the person behind it as he looked around in shock and a bit of disbelief.

"I'm going crazy." He pulled the bed back into it's spot.

"I would not say that." Threx looked up and jumped as he saw one of the princes of hell standing in front of him. "Woah, wait. Which one are you again? I don't mean to be disrespectful, I just can't keep track at this point." He grabbed his aching head.

"Do not worry which one I am. Time will tell all. A truth you must know is spinning in your chest. When you see your matching scar, you will understand, your minds eye will open and all will be revealed." He smirked as he blew some form of dust in Threxs' face.

"Hey!" Threx coughed, he waved the dust out of his face but as he went to yell, the prince had already vanished.

"That's it. I'm crazy." He shook his head and walked out. Suddenly the scar on his leg, the one he had since he was a child, began to burn. He couldn't help but think about what was just said, even if it was just in his head. What truth could there be that he doesn't know of? A truth he's not allowed to know. He knew all to well that ignorance was bliss.

As he walked into the city's center he was met with nothing, no one. Only trees and wind blowing there leaves. "Hello?" He called out.
