𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 - 𝐛𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐠𝐬

-inside the port mafia building-

"so, tell me again how this happened?"

the white haired woman asked, red eyes glancing down at the petite girl who sat down on the bed that lied next to her desk. the girl in question had shoulder length peach colored hair, curls loose and framing her round face, warm and clear brown skin, and a pair of fuchsia eyes. she huffed, blowing away pieces of her bangs out of her eyes.

"i got in to a fight with some thugs." she stated lowly, fuchsia eyes wandering over at the gash on her left shoulder. "one of them slammed me into the brick wall that was behind me." she added. the white haired woman let out a long, frustrated sigh.

"rio, you can't keep fightin' people."

"i had a good reason this time!"

the woman raised an eyebrow at the girl statement. she hummed amusingly, crossing one leg over the other. "go on then. explain." she stated, giving rio her attention. the short girl sucked her teeth at her, turning her head to the side.

"they were bullying a little kid..."

"oh?" the woman said, smirking down at her. "playing knight again?"

"dammit sada, just patch me up already!" rio spat, snapping her head over to the woman with a flushed face and embarrassed expression displayed on her face. the white haired woman chuckled at her as she leaned back in her seat. "what's the magic words?" she teased. the peach haired girl growled at her lowly.

this was the norm for the both of them.

before the short teen could say a word, a knock at the door was heard. sada blinked and swiveled her chair so it could face the door. "yes?" she said, raising an eyebrow. the door opened, revealing a tall and lanky boy with brown hair. bandages were plastered all over the boy's body, one even placed over his right eye. his good eye, which was the left, wandered over to the peach haired girl. "i knew you would be here." he said, walking inside. sada rolled her eyes at the boy, crossing her arms over her chest.

"a 'hello' would be nice, dazai."

the lanky boy let out a long sigh as he stopped. he turned his head and looked back at the white haired woman.

"hello sada."

"hello dazai." the woman sighed, rubbing her temples. she was beginning to feel irritated with him and he had just entered the room. she got up from her seat and walked over to the door, which was already left askew.

"rii, i'm gonna go smoke." she stated, looking back at the short teen. "when i'm done, i'll patch you up and we're goin' home." she said. the dark skinned girl nodded her head, fuchsia eyes watching the woman walk out the door and closing it behind her. the brunette that stood in front of her looked over at her. rio watched as he sat down in sada's chair, wheeling it over to the girl. his left eye glanced over to her gash adorned shoulder.

"another fight?"

"yeah..." the girl murmured under her breath. her eyes observed the boy's face, wandering what he would look like without all the bandages.

the girl has a little crush on him, but doesn't feel comfortable enough to admit it to him.

"are you even listening to me?" the brunette asked, raising an eyebrow at rio. her fuchsia eyes widened as her face flushed a deep crimson color. she chuckled nervously as she shook her head, reaching behind her and scratching the back of her head. "c-could you repeat that?" she stuttered out before clearing her throat. the tall teen let out a sigh.

"i said that we're leaving out tomorrow." he stated. "we're going to be investigating suribachi city." he added. rio hummed at the statement out of intrigue. "that's the settlement, right?" she asked. "why there specifically?" she added curiously, tilting her head.

"there were sightings of the old boss there." dazai informed. the young girl froze, his words penetrating her brain. "the old boss?" she questioned. "how in the absolute hell is a man who is suppose to be dead raising hell?" she asked, earning a shrug from the lanky teen in front of her. "that's why we're gonna go investigate." he said before getting up from the chair. "be ready by nine." he added, waving a hand at her. rio nodded her head at him. "see ya." she said, watching the tall teen open the door and walk out of sada's office.

boy, was she gonna be in a ride tomorrow.
