Chapter 33-Worryful

(It was three in the afternoon in Chicago, and was down pouring. There was a storm rolling in, which was causing traffic backing up the main expressway coming into the city, allowing Erin to get off work early since Herman wanted to shut the bar down early, flood warning causing businesses to close for the day so the storm can run its course)

(She was finishing drying out a glass cup while Brian was counting the draw and then securing it into the pouch, locking it up in the main office. After writing down the drinks on the clipboard, she grabbed her jacket and knocked on the officer door, saying her goodbyes to Herman before she made her way to the exit of the bar)

(She secured her jacket around her and let out a breathe, pulling the hoodie to her Jacket over her head just as his car pulled up. She grinned and lightly jogged to the car, pulling open the passenger side door and hopping it, shutting and locking the door when she was settled)

E<"hey"(she said, buckling up and looking at him)

J<"hey beautiful,(he put the car in drive and then grabbed her hand),how was work"?

E<"slow,(she rested her head against the window),this storm is really doing it for businesses"

J<"yeah"(he mumbled, bringing her hand to his mouth and pressing a gentle kiss against it, leaving it against his lips)

(Erin turned her head and looked at him, a pout spreading across her lips)

E<"hey, you okay"?

J<"w-what yeah,(he said, pressing on the breaks while they stopped at a red light. He let out a sigh and rested back against the seat, dropping her hand in his lap while he held it tight),just a long stressful day at work"

E<"you wanna talk about it"?

(Jay turned and faced her, leaning over the console and grasping her jaw, pressing his lips against hers, grinning before a car honked, letting them know the light was green. Jay settled back in his seat and drove off, Erin watching him as she licked her lip before biting down on it)

   (Kim groaned and took a seat on the couch, resting her hand on top of her belly. After finding out the reason to her utter pain the other day, she was a bit nervous how much hers and Adams lives were going to change)

<"well it seems to me that the reason for the pain you've been feeling is due to you being pregnant with twins"

Ad<"w...d-did you say twins"?

<"I did. Your body is slowly adjusting to holding two fetuses so you are going to feel a lot of pain because of the stretching so that your body creates enough space for both baby A and B"

Ki<"Twins"?

(The doctor nodded and placed Kim's chart in the shelf holder before walking out, giving them time to take the news in together)

Ad<"we're having two babies,(he said excited, sitting on the bed and grabbing her hands),my boys are good"!

(Kim laughed and leaned forward, pressing her lips against his)

(She smiled lightly when she felt a flutter in her stomach, her hand running over it while she closed her eyes, trying to relax before Adam came home)

(They walked down the hall and towards his apartment, hand in hand while they laughed about something she said. Her eyes caught the door slightly open to his apartment, her heart dropping while she stood still)
