Chapter 10-Going Public

(Her legs kept on moving, and she breathed in and out fast as she kept her head up with her ear buds in her ears, running on the treadmill. She woke up extra early, and asked one of the guards to bring her to the gym, letting Jay sleep in, instead of hovering over her at the gym)

(Her heart was pounding. She looked down at the numbers on the treadmill, seeing the number ten in the speed section of the screen. She was about to press the increase button she saw some one stand beside her out of her peripheral causing her scream and slip on the treadmill, almost falling until she felt a pair of arms around her. Erin pulled her ear buds out of her ears and looked up at him, breathing in heavy)

E<"Benji...you scared me"(she said out of breathe)

Be<"sorry,(he said, releasing his hold on her and shutting the mill off),your hour is up Miss. Lindsay"

E<"but I.."

Be<"hey...,(he cut her off),you said an hour only. I'm just following the rules"

(Erin sighed and stepped back before bending down and grabbing her bottle, following Benjamin to the exit of the door. They walked down the hall and turned the corner, before Erin took out her key card and slid it through the lock. She pushed open the door and gave Benjamin a nod, shutting and locking the door behind her. She turned around and peaked into the bedroom area, seeing Jay still sleeping peacefully on his stomach. She grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and then set her stuff down on the counter, making her way into the closet before walking into the bathroom and jumping in the shower)

(She shampooed and conditioned her hair, before she washed her body, and then stood under the hot water with her hands against the white tile wall. She dropped her head and closed her eyes, taking a deep breathe in and holding it. Her head shot up at a knock, looking carefully at the door through the shower)

E<"y-yeah"(she asked loudly)

J<"hey,(she heard him yell through the door),you mind if I come in and use the bathroom"?

(Erin stood still and looked down)

E<"I'm in the shower"?(she yelled back, looking up at the door)

J<"I won't look I swear....I just gotta pee"

(Erin looked down again and let out a breathe)

E<"o-okay....hurry though"!

(She heard the door open and then saw his figure walk into the bathroom and to the toilet. She breathe out when he shut the door behind him, feeling relieved he didn't see her. After a couple seconds, she looked back at the door when she heard the toilet flush and she stepped into the corner of the shower just in case. The door opened and she saw him walk out, wash his hands and then walk out of the bathroom, shutting the door behind him)

(She stepped out from the corner of the shower and sighed, bringing her hand up and placed it over her heart, breathing in slowly to calm her nerves. She hated the way she looked, and with Jay in the bathroom while she was in the shower scared the shit out of her that he would see her. She shook her head and turned off the knob, ringing out her hair before stepping out of the shower and grabbing a towel)

So I had mouse run both their track records in school and found out that they both were expelled from March of their Junior year, and then pulled out of school the remainder of their senior year, for bringing in weapons into school"

An<"yeah I saw something like that to,(he stepped up and placed a picture on the white board),this is Bryan Cooper, he's in a different Gang on the south side. Neighbors around him have called and complained about loud banger music, and pop shots. He was involved in another gang altercation and an eye witness put him at the scene,(he put up another picture),this was taken two days ago before that little boy was shot,(he pointed to the gun his was holding in his hand in a Facebook post),forensics said the gun shot wound on the little boy matches this weapon"
