By seeing everyone's expression I could feel that they doesn't want me to go for this job.
Our house remained quite without our usual commotion. We all had our dinner in absolute silence. After dinner, I went to my parent's room where they were sitting over the bed and begin to explain my situation.
None of them were on my side, even my father doesn't want me to work abroad. Its the first time that my brother saying he would miss me if I go. I pleaded a lot but nothing seem to work.
That night I couldn't sleep well....
Morning I woke up early and sat in our dining area, thinking about my research and my parent's hesitancy. My mom came near me and told me not to worry about it and It shall pass too, if I got married soon. And marriage is the thing that girls do at this age not seeking of job and doing research work, which are all just minial part of life.
This time I can't bear my mom's words. Went straight to kitchen called my mom and asked.....
"Mom, How is your life after marriage? Doing household chores, taking care of us and your entire life ends inside this house. Ma, I don't want to live a life inside an small house. Please, Let me explore this world. I wanna make an identity for myself and live a life of my own. I've never gone against your wish nor made a badname for family by roaming outside anonymously. This is first decisions that I made myself. Please trust me and let me work through it"
After those words from my heart, I went straight to the bathroom to take bath . After taking shower I went to the living room where my father and my brother were having their breakfast and my mom asked me to take seat. As I was in the terrible mood, I didn't speak back to them and went straight to my room. My mom brought the break fast to my room and said......
"My life destined to be spent in kitchen and I don't want my daughter to be the same."
I really can't believe my ears that she allowed me to work abroad and also convinced dad and brother for me. Throughout my entire life this was the first time seeing my mom supporting my decision.
I was literally flying in the sky and had my breakfast quickly to meet Mr. Trevor in campus.
As I reached the campus I could see Mr. Trevor..........
