The Audit

Hearing Rayan's words my heart started to beat fast. My hands begins to shake and cheeks turned red. I took my hands back and said.....

Tanya: Rayan I'm.....

Before I could say something Rayan begins to speak...

Rayan: You doesn't need to reply me immediately. Take your own time but don't forget tell me what's on your mind.

I nodded my head and ran inside my home without even saying a bye. He just stood smiling at me, seeing me running like a scared dog. I went inside, closed the door and leaned against the wall holding my hand over the chest as if my heart might fell out.

I looked through the window secretly, Rayan stood near his car smiling and after sometime went back. I sighed after he left.

I went to take a shower, but my mind continuously wavered about the words Rayan said. I tried hard to focus but I couldn't. After taking shower and a small snack, I went to my room and searched my bag. But then realized that I left them back in Rayan's car. I went straight to my couch and jumped over it.

I spoke to myself...

Tanya: Why am I like this?
No..... Tomorrow, First I should meet him and say that I'm not interested. But he's not a bad person. Being with him for over a year I could clearly know about him.....Tanya!!! What are you saying!!!! Have you fallen for him!!! No!!! Let me keep things straight. If he asks me, I'll say, I've not yet decided. Ok. Wait!!!! Why should I say that?? O!! God please help me.

That night went quite sleepless. I've been completely confused and don't know what to say. Because it's my first time that I'm thinking in such a way.......

The next day........

I went to our office and remained completely in lab till evening and tried hard to avoid all the chances to enter Rayan's cabin. But my fate, I have to attend an board meeting with all the members in office management. The meeting went well but I was completely uncomfortable. I'll always be attentive and focused during meetings but this time I lost certain things. Rayan noted everything and asked me to wait after the meeting.

After everyone left the meeting hall, Rayan spoke to me privately....

Rayan: Are you uncomfortable ?

I was quite hesitant to say the truth but he kept insisting so, I don't have any option.....

Tanya: Yes. I don't know how to react after yesterday's incident.

Rayan smiled and said....

Rayan: We are working, So just see me as your boss. Don't think about what I've told you earlier.

I nodded my head and I felt quite confident. I made my mind to concentrate on work .
