When I woke up I could feel something cold beneath my head. I picked it up to see that I was laying my head on the shoulder of the Mandalorian. I looked up at the helmet, gaining no reaction from the man. He must've truly been sleep.

"How cute." I looked to my right to see Cara watching both of us. My looked down at the gun she was cleaning before looking back up at her. "Let him down slowly." I gave her a confused look to which she raised an eyebrow and pointed at the man. "He knows you have your secrets, but is deciding to overlook them. Which is stupid." She said before getting up. "Eventually everything you're hold is going to catch up, I just don't want to see him in the crossfire."

It was too late for that. It was too late for all of it. And it was all on me.

"Alright, let's go." Cara yelled causing the group to wake up abruptly. Light was just now seeping into the sky. "We need to get moving," she finished with before helping Kuiil with his blurrg. I nudge the man next to me causing him to shoot his head up, clearly on alert.

"We're fine, we just gotta keep moving." I said causing the man to nod before standing up. He turned back around before offering me his hand for help. I graciously took it with a small smile.

This was going to be the last time he would be offer me his hand.

The thought surfaced in my mind causing me to look down as my smile dropped. "You okay?" I looked up putting on a force smile before nodding me head. I had to keep myself together.

We started on our journey to the village. I had never been to Nevarro in general but I didn't really think that there was going to be much to this village. Greef and his two men were walking a short distance ahead of us, leaving us to linger behind them.

Kuiil was further behind us as he rode on his last blurrg that he had. The one I tried to save still didn't end up making it through the night. The three of us could see that Greef and his men were talking in hushed tones as they pointed at Greef's wrapped arm.

"You think they're having second thoughts?" Cara asked as she walked beside me as I was in the middle of the two with the child. "Could be. I need your eyes." He said causing me to nod and Cara to respond, "I'm watching."

From afar I could see the village come into view. The mere sight made me heartbeat accelerate as I knew the conflict I've been avoiding was going to be resolved down there.

It was only a matter of time.

"I guess this is it." Greef said as he stood in front of us as we needed him lead the way. There was a moment a silence before he quickly turned around with two blaster pointed in our direction. We were all caught off guard and I knew I wouldn't be able to pull out my katana fast enough.

I anticipated for the pain as I heard the shot of the blaster ring, but I never felt it. I looked back to see Greef's two hunters now dead on the ground behind us. Greef raised his blasters up in surrender as Cara and the Mandalorian pointed their blaster at him. "There's something you should know." Greef said before pointing up the blasters and walking over to the lifeless bodies on his hunters. He turned one of them over, kicking the blaster away.

"The plan was to kill you and take the kid. But after what happened last night, I couldn't go through with it. Go on. You can gun me down here and now and it wouldn't violate the Code. But if you do this the child will never be safe." Greef said as the Mandalorian and Cara still had their weapons pointed toward him. I took a moment to read Greef's body language. His breathing was steady, he was holding eye contact with us, and he wasn't blaming anybody. He was telling the truth.

"He's telling the truth." I said to which Cara turned to look at me momentarily. "How do you know?" Cara asked as she looked back at Greef. I shrugged my shoulders before I spoke, "I'm a people person."
