I was one sector over from where Moff Gideon's light cruiser was. One of the things I packed was the tracking that was sent to me in order to find it from the beginning of all of this. I guess he forgot he had given it to me, that was a big mistake. The ship I was using was one that Lawrence had around in case for whatever reason we needed to leave home in short notice. The ship was fairly smaller, smaller than the Razor Crest. But was big enough to fit the three of us if we needed to go somewhere. Well when there was three of us.
No need to dwell on the past Astraea.
I sighed before nodding my head, agreeing with Obsidian's words as it wasn't going to get me anywhere. Not right now in that case. Right now I needed to have one thing in mind...killing Moff Gideon. I reached up, flicking some switches as I prepared the ship to jump into hyperspace. It was a little bit risky considering the ship wasn't something grand and extremely stable. But I didn't care.
"In three, two, one." I said before the blue streams of light appeared around the ship as it lunged forward. The ship rattled for a second causing alarms to go off but soon they diminished as the ship stabilized. I'd only need to travel for about thirty seconds before needing to jump back out. I brought my arm up to the control panel as I rested it. My head leaned forward into my palm as I looked out the window.
Why the lone face?
I shook my head as I made sure I didn't think of anything. As I knew, anything that I thought Obsidian would know. But deep down I knew what the problem was. I was genuinely sad, not depressed but sad. None of this was suppose to happen, and I think that was the hardest thing for me to swallow. You say nothing but your tears of weakness says otherwise. Why is that so?
"Maybe that's just the difference from an entity like you and live being like me. You don't feel anything. You say emotions are weakness but my emotions is what is pushing me to be here. Without feeling what I'm feeling now I wouldn't need you." I said looked at the panel as it told me that I was almost at my destination. Astraea that's not what I meant.
"But it is." I said taking my arm off the panel, "What's the real reason why I'm the only one that can use you?" Obsidian was silent causing me to speak, "I asked you a question, did I not?" It's not my secret to tell. Before I could speak again my ship started to beep saying that if I didn't jump out of hyperspace now then I would miss my destination. I put my hands back on the controls before speaking, "We will talk about this later." I felt Obsidian's presence linger before dissipating almost to where I could no longer feel it.
The ship rumbled again as I jumped out seeing the big light cruiser in front of me. Seeing how big the ship was I could only imagine how many people were aboard. That would risk their life just to insure Moff Gideon would live. And they would have to die. Anyone who stands in my way would fall.
I headed towards the loading deck before typing in the code that he had given me one before. I guess the man wasn't smart enough again in not removing my access to his ship. The bay opened for me as I landed my ship. The inside was just as I remembering it, dark hallways and walls with bright white lights lightening up the way.
I turned around in the chair before going over to the door. I reached back and pulled the hood of my robe. My glanced lingered over on the door as I knew there was no turning back. This was it, I was going to kill Moff Gideon. I raised my hand up towards the control panel and pushed the button to cause the door to lower. The door opened relieving two stormtroopers, they had their blasters pointed at me at first but once I raised my head showing my face they lowered.
"My apologies, we didn't know that you were coming." I looked away from them before scanning the room. One, two, three...eight. There's eight stormtroopers in here. I looked watching the directions of where the stormtroopers were walking. My attention was brought back toward the stormtrooper as one of them just got back from communicating with the commanders.
