Just like I figured, I awoke to the loud sound of my dad's voice. .and Bumblebee's, Sam's, and Leo's. With a groan, I sat up in bed and yanked the comforter off of my body. After throwing my hair into a messy bun, I got up and headed for the door.
"Where's my daughter?" my dad yelled. I rolled my eyes. If Kaelyn wasn't already awake, she would be soon enough.
I walked over to the stair case and stood at the top, staring down at my dad and the small group of males which consisted of not only my dad, Sam, Leo, and Bumblebee, but also Ratchet, Dino, and Optimus's holoforms. Wonder where Sideswipe and the Wreckers were. . .
"Is this what you're looking for?" I called down to them. He turned his head and looked at me, his eyes brightening ever so slightly. He ran up the stairs and nearly tackled me in a hug, causing the soreness to return. "Easy. I'm still sore."
He immediately pulled away and looked at me. "Why would you be sore?" he asked, his eyes shifting down to my small stomach; I figured that Sam or Leo would've told him, but I guess not. He looked back up at me and pulled me into an even tighter hug. "Where is she? Where's my granddaughter?"
I laughed and pulled away. "I have no clue. She's either in her room or in the living room with Mikaela, Adalyn, and Ironhide. Knowing them, that's probably where they all are," I answered him as I pulled him down the stairs with me.
The group of men and holoforms had already disappeared into the living room and I quickly dragged my father in with me. It was a good thing my living room was big enough to handle all of these people or I probably would have had a panic attack. I wasn't really paying attention to where everyone was at the moment. The only thing I knew was that Adalyn was laying on the couch with her feet sprawled across Ironhide's lap and she held Kaelyn closely to her body. I raised a brow.
"Having fun?" I asked as I looked down at her from the back of the couch.
She smiled and I heard a grunt. "She's been this way since about nine o'clock this morning," Ironhide grumbled. I just chuckled and shook my head before reaching down to get Kaelyn from Adalyn who, surprisingly, let me take her; had she not, I probably would have slapped her.
Kaelyn was wide awake this morning and there was just the faintest little smile on her face as she looked at me, something of which caused me to smile widely. I placed a kiss onto her forehead before handing her off to my ever-so-eager father. He almost looked ready to cry at the sight of her and I giggled before turning back to Adalyn and Ironhide who were bantering, of course.
"Get your revolting limbs off of me," he grumbled as he kept trying to push her feet off of his lap. She only laughed and continued pestering him with them.
"What are you gonna do about it, punk?" she baited as she tapped her feet on his lap. He growled and stood up quickly before yanking her over his shoulder. She squealed and tried to get loose, but there was no use. I just watched as he carried her through the house and disappeared down the hallway. This wasn't going to end well. .
Without a word, I sat down on the now vacant couch and my dad sat down beside me, Kaelyn still in his arms. I looked over at the many bodies in front of me and smiled. "It's so nice to see you guys. I've missed you," I greeted the Autobots.
"It's a pleasure to see you, Azalea, as well as it is a pleasure to finally meet the sparkling," Optimus replied. I smiled.
"Yes, you wouldn't mind if I were to run a few tests on her would you? I need to make sure she's healthy. Regular human tests won't do much good for her," Ratchet said to me.
