For me, time was going by fast. .way too fast. Of course I wanted my child to hurry up and get here, but I also wanted to enjoy my life in the moment instead of rushing it. It wasn't exactly working for me though. There was nothing you could really do when you were pregnant except shop, work, eat, and sleep. In my eyes, that should've made the time go slower, but instead it had the opposite effect. It was pretty sad, actually. One of the only things remotely productive I had even done was celebrate my twenty-second birthday. I was forced to, but it still happened. I didn't even get to celebrate New Year's, damn it.

My due date was getting closer and closer and I was getting anxious and of course fatter. I had about three weeks until I was due and I couldn't be happier, yet I couldn't be more frightened. I didn't know what I was supposed to do when the time came. I knew that it was going to be awkward and painful as fuck, but that's about it. I just hoped Ratchet could give me one of those fancy shots to take away the pain though. I could handle a great amount, but apparently child birth was the worst pain a woman could ever imagine and I was not up to the challenge.

I had finally decided on a name though: Kaelyn Olivia. There was no telling what her last name would be, given that her father was an advanced alien species from the planet Cybertron. To most people, his holoform's name was Ron Edih, but I was trying to talk him into changing it to Hide to make it easier on everyone else regarding the pronunciation factor. Turns out it had actually been my dad who made up the name back in 2007; I wasn't surprised though.

One other productive thing I had managed to complete—with the help of Carly, Adalyn, and Mikaela—was Kaelyn's nursery. Since Adalyn's brothers had been taken care of, Ironhide had resumed his time at the base with the other Autobots, so that gave us all the time we needed to get it finished and it also gave us a necessary amount of needed "girl time".

I loved her nursery though; I loved it even more than I loved my room. The colors consisted of baby blue, black, and a little bit of white. Her walls were painted baby blue, while most of her room decor was black, including her crib, her little dressers and the rocking chair and couch I had put in. Her bedding was black and white with polka dots, and had I still been a teenager, I would've chose something along the lines of this to decorate my room with. What I loved the most was that Mikaela—who flew in just for this—bought letters to spell out Kaelyn's name and she hung them on the wall over her crib. I personally thought that that's what really brought the room together.

There was only one downside to this entire thing though. They had been exceptionally busy down at the base as of lately, and the humans over in China had gotten stupider and stupider. I wasn't given any details, but the only thing I knew was that whatever happened required a copious amoutn of Autobots and soldiers. My dad, Epps, and their soldiers, along with the Autobots wound up heading overseas to take care of the issue and wouldn't be back for at least a month, or maybe even more. The only Autobot that stayed was Ratchet. He wanted to keep a close eye on me given that I was so close to delivering. I told him that his men needed him, but he assured me that there was more work he needed to do here in Washington than overseas; I didn't argue with him after that.

They left only days ago and I missed them more than anything. It was mostly Ironhide and my dad though. The fact that there was the possibility that they wouldn't be here for Kaelyn's birth upset me more than it should have. They weren't even here for my baby shower and that was already upsetting, but I knew that I had to put on a happy face for my friends.

"Seriously, Leo?" I asked as I took the onesy out of the gift bag. It was plain white with just a big picture of Leo's face on it. It was creepy, yet it was amusing.
