"I'm bored." Gemini leaned against the head frame of his bed.

"I can entertain you if you wish." Scorpio raised an eyebrow.

Gemini looked at her with disgust. He thought of her like a sister and would never see her as a woman.

"What are you thinking? I can see cursing me with your eyes." Scorpio sat on the edge of the bed.

"No what are YOU thinking?"

"I was thinking...." she whispered and put a hand on her pocket.

"Cards?" She pulled out a deck of fancy cards.

"What the—." He sighed and sat comfortably again.

"Poker?" She suggested.

"Sure."

They moved to a table in their room and while Scorpio was dealing the cards she noticed that Gemini wasn't very focused. It seemed like he kept zoning out.

"Hey, you good? You look like you're arguing with yourself." Scorpio waved a hand in front of his face.

"Hm? Ya I'm fine." He shrugged and picked up his cards wincing at the bad hand.

"That Pisces is hilarious." Scorpio glanced at him when she said her name.

" 'I CAN'T' how cringy can you get." Scorpio mocked.

"It's funny to see her scared." Gemini admitted.

"I advise you don't get attached to her."

"What makes you say that?"

"Considering how your reacted about your last pet...it's just not worth it." She poked his arm.

"Reacted?"

"Don't pretend like you weren't head over heels for her. You always gave her whatever she wanted, went easy on her, and what happened in the end?" Scorpio was lecturing him.

"Don't say it." He warned.

"She took advantage of you. Took advantage of your kindness and did what?"

"Tried to..."

"Tried to kill you." She finished.

"And even then you didn't have the heart to punish her. You even forgave her and what happened again?" Scorpio eyes drifted towards his neck.

"That happened." She pointed at a scar that was right next to his jugular.

"If she was just an inch closer you would've bled out and died."

"And EVEN THEN you didn't kill her. You just resold her, claiming that she was sick or something. It was painful to watch."

"Can you stop bringing up the past? You know how much I hate that." He glared.

"I'm just reminding you what happened the last time you dropped your guard. Don't let it happen again. Also, I received a letter saying the Du Ponts will be coming sometime this week to pick up the guards and other materials they bought."

"Great." He scoffed.

"I hate those snobs."

"Yes I know but we need to maintain a good business relationship." Scorpio reminded.

"Every time they come here they always complain about something. It'a fucking annoying." He cursed.

Scorpio took her hat off and sat more comfortably in front of him.

"And you've ruined my mood by taking about the past." He blamed her and threw his cards down.

"If you need to cool down. You know what to do." Scorpio sighed and put her cards down.
