Gemini took a steady breath as he halted the horse. Thanks to Virgo he had saved travel time and had already arrived. He stared at his house and gulped. It looked desolate and nobody even bothered to close the front doors. He turned the horse and ordered a gallop, riding right past his house and right to the...Yoshida household.
In comparison to his home, there's was much bigger, more menacing, and showcased his growing wealth the golden dragon statues adorned the staircase up to the house. The last time he was here, it didn't go very well. He jumped off the horse, tying it to a nearby post.
"Stay and wait for me okay?" He patted his snout.
The horse huffed in acknowledgment.
He walked up the stairs only to be apprehended by a bunch of guards.
"Who are you? State your business." They had a hand on their guns.
Guns? When did he start using guns? It had been hard for Gemini to afford Guns because the Du Pont family cut a hard bargain.
"Im Gemini and I'm here to meet Yoshida." Gemini said calmly.
One of the guards disappeared into the house, returning moments later.
"You may come in. Check him for weapons."
Gemini was searched throughly before being able to go inside. The guard slid the door and revealed the dimly lit hall where many people were gathered. Guards, women, and Yoshida sitting on a big chair with a cigar in his hand.
"Gemini, been a while hm?" He smirked.
Yoshida was not wearing his usual attire that Gemini saw him wear before but had substituted it with a sophisticated gray suit instead. His hair was neater and he had cleaned up his face, getting rid of the faded stubble. Even though he was only a few years older than Gemini, he somehow looked younger now.
"What brings you here? Cigar?" He offered.
"You seem to be doing well." Gemini ignored his offer.
"Better than you that's for sure." He chuckled at Gemini's dirty and disheveled clothes.
"I've come to take....Pisces." He found it a bit difficult to say her name.
"Oh? You mean my bride?" He sneered.
"What? Bride?...."
"You've missed a lot these past few days." He sighed and put out his cigar.
"Daughter, please bring your wonderful sister. Since you failed the one task I gave you" He looked at Kazuko with a condescending stare. Gemini didn't even notice that she was present in the room because he was so focused on Yoshida.
"Yes father." She bowed obediently due to embarrassment and then left.
"Would you like to attend our wedding?"
"Wedding..."
"Take a seat, you look as pale as a ghost. Too much to take in?"
Gemini didn't dare sit down. He didn't want to lower his guard one bit. He would take Pisces and just run. He didn't care about this place anymore. He didn't care about his home.
The doors opened and Pisces walked in. He took in her face, something he felt like he hadn't seen for ages. She had more color in her face but she still maintained a cold frown. He noticed that she didn't look him in the eye.
"Gemini here says he wants to take you away. Would you like to go?" Yoshida stood up and walked towards Pisces, grazing a finger down her cheek.
Gemini looked at her longingly. She looked uncomfortable but he knew she would say anything so he interrupted.
