"I'm panicking, I'm panicking, I'm panicking." Libra was pacing around the living room.
"Will you chill? It's just a party." Leo was comfortably sitting in the couch.
"But so many important people are coming. Everything has to be PERFECT."
"Don't worry! I'm sure Capricorn, Aries, and Sagittarius are handling everything just fine." Leo assured.
"Make sure you taste everything they make." He reminded.
"Of course! I won't say no to food."
Libra checked the clock and he felt his heart beat even faster. The time for guests to arrive was coming close and he made sure everything looked spotless.
"Drinks. Check. Masks. Check. Business cards. Check." He said under his breath.
"Don't you think a masquerade is a bit old fashioned?" Leo asked.
"No! It's very elegant." He argued.
"Whatever." Leo shrugged and grabbed a mask that matched her outfit.
"It's too hard being a people pleaser." He was talking to himself.
"Well stop worrying about what other people think."
"It's not that easy when you run a business." He squinted.
"You are forgetting something though."
"WHAT? What am I forgetting?!" He gasped.
"Your guards."
"Shit, thank you." He rushed outside.
He found Scorpio already getting ready with the other guards. She was talking to them in a strict manner that Libra was afraid to intervene with.
"Are you ready?"
Scorpio nodded.
"Don't forget to grab a mask."
"Noted." Scorpio said shortly and walked inside the main mansion.
Libra was surprised with her professionalism and dedication to her job. She instructed a couple guards to remain outside to secure the perimeter while her and a few others stayed inside. Even within the mansion, she strategically placed the rest of the guards around various parts of the mansion.
She grabbed a mask and slipped it on, shadowing her gaze.
Libra also grabbed one and tied it on, he adjusted his suit and took a deep breath. In just a moment, the doorbell rang indicating the first guest was here.
"Okay, you can do this Libra. Just keep smiling." He gave himself a pep talk. Scorpio scoffed and rolled her eyes at him.
Libra opened the door with a welcoming smile.
"Welcome to the Du Pont house! Please make yourself comfortable after you grab a mask and help yourself to some food and drinks."
The man and woman wore very expensive looking clothes and nodded, walking towards the table lined with masks. Libra exhaled in relief and went back to standing next to Scorpio.
"You're so fake." She laughed.
"Shush, it's my business alter ego."
Libra continued to greet guests for the next hour while Scorpio kept a keen eye on everyone and their behavior. She was getting quite a few stares from both men and women as she walked in and out of various rooms, but she was too intimidating to approach. She bumped into Libra as he turned a corner and instinctively held him steady.
