Gemini didn't get a wink of sleep last night, glancing at the clock that said it was 4 am. He sat up and moved into the bathroom, looking up at himself in the mirror. It was apparent he didn't sleep well for the past few days as faint dark circles lined his eyes.
"Ah fuck." He groaned and splashed himself with cold water. He stripped himself from his pajamas, taking a brief shower and then finally dressing in his traditional clothing which he hasn't worn for a while. He still wasn't used to his short hair as he attempted to tie it up but there wasn't enough hair.
He went back to his bedroom and grabbed his katana off the wall, the one he momentarily put aside while focusing on other matters. Gemini quietly stepped out of his room and walked into the main room, sliding the door open. The room was lit with its usual ominous candles but it was even spookier because it was still dark outside.
He stood in the center of the room for a moment and then went outside. The air was crisp and misty and he was slightly more awake after feeling it on his skin.
"And where are you off to?"
"Oh fuck!" Gemini jumped and turned around to find Scorpio.
"Just taking a walk."
"I'll come with."
Gemini nodded. He could use the company.
"Why are you up so early?" Scorpio asked.
"Why are you?" Gemini countered.
"I'll sleep later." She shrugged.
"But you look tired." Scorpio noticed.
"I haven't been sleeping well."
Their footsteps crunched on the gravel.
"Why?"
"I don't know...I just feel weird."
"Explain."
"My stomach feels kinda fuzzy." He wasn't sure how to explain it.
"And my heart just randomly beats so fast...do I have a disease or something?"
Scorpio smiled and shook her head.
"Sweetie, you're in love."
"I'm what?"
"You don't like Pisces anymore. You love her."
"I..."
"What?" She saw his worried face.
"I'm scared." He admitted.
"Don't worry. I'm right here. Nothing will happen this time."
Gemini smiled at her gratefully.
"Well have you told her how you feel?"
"I feel like I made it clear enough...but it feels like she doesn't feel the same."
"What makes you say that?"
"It's weird. She sort of passive aggressive with it. Sometimes she'll want me to come closer and other times she just leaves."
"That is weird." Scorpio agreed.
"And she's not dumb so I'm sure she's aware of how you feel."
"I'm sure she's just afraid of commitment or she's put off by the whole loving a pet thing." Scorpio speculated.
Gemini stayed quiet.
"I'll talk to her later tonight then."
"No! No need to do that." Gemini refused.
