"Who is Melchom?"

"He's kind of like my informant. He knows the ins and outs of demonology and hopefully will be able to tell me what the hell you are."

We continued walking through the giant hallways with Cerberus trailing behind us. Lucas must've called for him once we decided to go see Melchom. We finally stopped at a door and Lucas burst through.

I glanced around, taking in the massive walls that were covered in books. It reminded me of a library. There was an old man sitting at a big desk in the middle of the room.

"Melchom," Lucas bellowed.

The old man raised his eyes from the book he was studying.

"Shit," I heard the old man mutter under his breath. "Lucifer, what a wonderful surprise." Sarcasm laced his words.

"Oh, come on now, Melchom. I know last time that you saw me, I had to take away your library privilege's for a few months but I have to do what the big man upstairs says. He caught you doing some very unholy things to that poor human. I thought I was taking it easy on you."

"I would've rather you thrown me in the lake of fire than take me from my books."

The two stared at each other for a few moments before they both burst out laughing. The old man rounded the desk and wrapped Lucas in a big bear hug. "I haven't seen you in a while, my friend. What do you need?"

"Well, that is the question Melchom. What can you tell me about her?"

The man finally turned his eyes to me. They widened as they took in my appearance. Muttering another curse under his breath, he walked toward me.

"Where did you find her?"

"She called me."

The old man looked back to Lucas. "She called you?"

"My brother died in New York," I spoke up. "And when I found his body, I let out a scream. He heard it." The man looked confused. "From New Orleans."

"Oh, no." The man muttered again.

"What does this mean Melchom?" Lucas asked.

Melchom rounded the table and fell into his chair. He held his head in his hands. "This is both good and not good."

"How?" Cerberus spoke up.

"This woman-"

"Allyson," Cerberus ground out. I grabbed his hand and grinned at him taking up for me. So protective, I spoke to him through my mind. The corners of his lips turned upward.

"-Allyson, is your soulmate, Lucifer."

Lucifer turned toward me and grinned.

"Do not celebrate so quickly," the man interrupted. "She is also your Match." Cerberus stiffened beside me and Lucifer's grin quickly fell.

"Your what?" I asked.

"Thank you, Melchom. I'll be back later." Lucas grabbed my upper arm and started dragging me out of the room.

"Wait, no. Lucas, tell me what that means."

"Wait, there is something else," Melchom called. Lucas turned his head back toward Melchom but did not turn us around. "There has never been another creature like her. She is the only of her kind. She has similar power to that of a Lust Queen but she also has a combination of every demon in Hell. Including you, Lucifer."

Lucas nodded in response and dragged us out of the room. I pulled against his harsh grip, protesting, cursing, trying to get a response from him. I could feel my skin bruising under his tight grip, his claws forming and digging into my skin.

"Lucifer!" I yelled, using his real name.

He finally turned to me so quickly, I didn't see his hand. I heard the slap before I felt it. My head snapped to the side and my ear started to ring. I felt tears well up in my eyes from the pain. He hit me. Hard.

Cerberus growled loudly and jumped in front of me, facing Lucas with his teeth bared.

"You have the power to kill me." Lucas mumbled.

I glared at him. "You just hit me." I felt anger rise up but my power didn't show itself like I wish it would.

"Was this your plan all along? To trick me? The Devil himself?"

"You think I knew about any of this? I had no idea I wasn't human until about a week ago."

"So you say," he grumbled.

I scoffed. "Wow, fuck off."

Lucas looked down at Cerberus. "Take her to the cells. Leave her there. Alone."

Cerb made no effort to move.

"I mean it, Cerberus. Or else you'll find yourself nursing wounds from the lake of fire."

I felt my powers rise to the surface full force once again after hearing him threaten Cerb.

Lashing my power out, he fell to his knees. I stalked toward him, slowly. Cerberus growled lowly in his throat, trying to make me back off.

"Don't start, Cerb."

I stepped in front of Lucas. He brought his eyes to mine, the same anger I feel swirling in them.

"You can threaten me all you want, Lucifer. Lock me up in a cell. Believe I've been playing you all along, I don't care. But, if you ever threaten Cerberus again, I will end you. Right here and now."

"Bring it on, princess," he sneered.

I growled and felt my anger surge through me again. Lucas flinched as my power radiated out, twisting his insides. I heard bones crack as I pushed my power against his ribs. He smirked at me, fueling my anger more. Suddenly, I felt warm, soft fur beneath my fingers and I look to my right. Cerberus had transformed to that of a normal dog. He began pushing me toward a steel door to my right. I turned away slowly from Lucas and followed Cerb's nudges. There had to be a reason he was doing this. He had just stood between me and Lucifer, willing to die for me and now he was pushing me away.

As the door shut heavily behind us, I whispered to him angrily. "Why did you stop me?"

He turned human, standing to his full height next to me, in all his naked glory. "You wouldn't have won. Just keep your head on straight. We'll be out of here soon," he whispered back.

"What?"

"Just trust me."

I nodded and kept quiet. He led me to a steel door when we reached the bottom and before it creaked open, he changed back to a hell hound. Inside there were individual cells. I looked inside and it looked like a prison cell. A hard bed, no covers. At least there was a private bathroom.

Cerberus looked at the demon who stood at the door.

"Lucifer told me that I had to lock her in and you had to leave."

Cerb growled in my head. I won't be going far. I will guard the entrance to the stairwell.

"Thank you," I whispered to him.

The guard walked to the gated door and unlocked it. I walked through and looked back at Cerberus as he locked it behind me.

"Okay, Cerberus, he gave me orders. I'm sorry."

Cerberus nodded to him and gave me one last look before walking out of the steel door. I felt my skin tingle as I heard the bolt slide into the lock.

I am in Hell and I am all alone.
