Prologue

Niall’s POV

“You boys will be travelling to Australia next.” Paul told us. The boys and I grinned from ear to ear, Australia was one of my favourite places to tour and the fans were great.

Once we were on the plane and had taken off, Louis, Liam, Harry, Zayn and I all chatted excitedly about the things we could do in Australia. Liam told us that our first performance was at Melbourne then we would work our way to Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, Brisbane, Sydney and finally Canberra.

I hope we get to see the Great Barrier Reef and maybe the Australian rainforest thing.

I told the boys as much and they all agreed we wanted to see the Aussie animals too.

I really could not wait for this tour.

Leah’s POV

“And that’s why we must live in the moment and never let an opportunity pass us by. One door closes and a million more open.” The valedictorian finished her speech and we all clapped and cheered.

I was so glad I wasn’t chosen for valedictorian. I’m sure if the thought was even thinked, someone would kill the person who thought it. I was definitely not good talking wise.

We all exited the hall, the girls all started crying and the boys were all laughing and joking around. They really hadn’t changed much from grade 7. I stood their awkwardly until I decided I wasn’t going to be accepted into their group hug. Then I just walked away heading for my VW Beetle. I put my head down and just tried not to think of how much of a social fail I was.

“Hey! Leah! Wait up.” I heard and froze on the spot. Someone was talking to me. Someone was talking to me. Someone was talking to me. There must have been some kind of mistake. Surely, there was another girl near me named Leah who he was talking to.

Then I felt a hand on my wrist and I was spun around. I faced a smiling Eddy.

“Hey Ed.” I smiled at him. He was always nice to me even when I started talking.

“Hey Leah.” He replied breathless from running after me. He pulled me into a hug unexpectantly and I awkwardly put my hands around him too.

“I’m gonna miss you Leah, I hope you have a nice, happy life and I wish you all the best.” He said emotionally, looking into my eyes. I smiled at him. “You too.” I replied not really knowing how to reply. Sometimes keeping my mouth shut was the best option. Of course I didn’t do it often. "You deserve a good future Eddy and I know you’re going to do something meaningful with your life. Actually I wouldn't really know because I can't tell the future nor have I been to a psychic and asked whether or not you will have a good life. But all I can say is that I think you’re a good person and I don't know whether or not you will have a good life or not but I hope you do!"

He chuckled, “I’m going to miss you Leah.” and with one last hug and goodbye, he left to go talk to his friends.

I left school in my light blue bug and headed out to the bed and breakfast. Yeah, my mum owned a bed and breakfast and I was forced to live there as well. A bonus was I got the whole attic to myself; it was totally pimped out with bright blue plush carpet, comfy double bed with a matching blue zebra print comforter and my walls were a total mess of a thousand different tones of blue. I had a big wooden walk in wardrobe and a matching desk except you couldn’t tell what colour the desk was with all the junk I had on there. I had a medium sized bedside table that held a photo of my family, an alarm clock that I hated with a passion and a few pieces of jewelry that I had skipped out on wearing today in case I got them caught on my graduation robes and ripped it.
