"You seriously love to stir trouble, don't you?"
"Trouble is my middle name." Jackson replied with a smirk.Everyone stayed for dinner and we talked about everything except the fog. We all learned a lot about each other. I never knew that Ileyna and Vaughn used to be a thing. Jackson was way too excited to share what he found out.
"Tell us." I laughed. "You are getting on my nerves with the bouncing."
"Wait, Orson and Judith are the ones who are in charge?" Sylver wondered.
"No," Vaughn replied. "Orson, Lilith, and I are supposed to be in charge but Jen is as well. She has the same power as Orson, maybe even stronger."
"Jen and I have been training to make her stronger than Orson but we don't know how effective it is." Lilith explained.
"Can we go back to my story?" Jackson whined. "It's my time to shine."
"Just tell us." Sam sighed.
"They are going to throw a party. Everyone has to be there, not showing up will have consequences. They're planning something big, we have to go but we need to be careful." Jackson explained.
"You were excited about this?" Vaughn sounded furious.
"Can you please shut up and let him explain?" I sighed. "I know you're angry but honestly grow a pair and let him speak." Everyone fell quiet, allowing Jackson to continue.
"Thanks," Jackson said. "They got some new guy involved. They won't tell me who and they didn't let me in on the plan fully. The other guy is mostly involved with this. Not sure if they are on to me or not."
"It must be Elliott." TJ thought aloud, looking at me for confirmation.
"It could be anyone." I sighed.
"Don't tell me you trust the guy?" Sam said disappointed.
"Far from, he would be stupid enough for it. That guy loves power more than he loves himself, that says a lot for someone who has a shrine of himself." Everyone seemed surprised, apart from TJ.
"Speaking of Elliott. He moved out. I have no clue where he went, he left a note saying 'thanks but I'm moving out.'." Ayden quickly spoke.
"We shouldn't go in a tunnel on this. We can't afford to be wrong." Lilith joined the conversation.
"Let's partner up for the party," Ileyna suggested. "We can look out for each other and cover a lot of ground at the party."We all agreed and paired up. Ileyna and I paired up as well as TJ and Sylver, Drew and Lilith and Ayden and Sam. Jackson and Vaughn would go separately and keep an eye on each other. This way they wouldn't be suspicious. We decided to regroup in the morning for brunch. Since Sam's house is the largest, everyone would come back here in the morning.
Everyone arrived the next day around noon, except for Jackson and Drew. They set a new record by only being half an hour late. We were all enjoying the brunch until the bell rang. Orson, Judith, and Katy stood on the porch.
"They are all here." Orson strode in uninvited. Judith walked in past him and shoved me aside.
"Wonder how you would know," TJ said sarcastically. Both TJ and I gave Katy a glare. She simply shrugged and threw her hair over her shoulder and waltzed over to Orson's side.
"What are you doing here?" I asked all three of them.
"Such an unwanted surprise." Ileyna joined me. Vaughn stepped behind her and placed a hand over her mouth, preventing her from speaking her mind.
"Keep your lady in check would you." Orson said to Vaughn, who simply replied with a painful yell.
"Yes, I bit your hand," Ileyna stated simply. "He doesn't need to keep me in check, they're a lot of things I want to say to you but I don't want to waste my energy on you." She grabbed Vaughn's hand and dragged him to the kitchen.
"You have to stay here." Orson ordered. Ileyna stopped in her tracks, Vaughn seemed unaffected. That moron was using his order power thing.
"She can do what she wants. This is not your house." I replied.
"I own the ground." Orson countered.
"You don't. Lilith is in charge of that." I continued. "Lilith, can Ileyna go back to her food?"
"She can." Lilith helped me out. "Never come between a girl and her food."
"Why don't you tell us what you came to tell and then leave." Vaughn said after he directed Lilith and Ileyna to the kitchen.
"Not invited to the brunch, are we?" Orson pushed further.
"I would never invite you, such a waste of food." I countered.
"Why do you hate me?" Orson asked.
"I don't hate you." Everyone looked at me weird, everyone knows I despise him. "I'm simply not excited about your existence."
"Apologise, now! In fact, beg on your knees for my forgiveness." Orson ordered me. I felt a slight pull but it felt as if I could resist it a little. His order wasn't as aggressive as last time. I stepped in front of him with my head bowed.
"This is going to be hilarious." Judith smirked. I raised my head and looked Orson dead in the eye.
"Never.""You should obey me." Orson grew frustrated.
"You should leave." Sam pointed to the door. "I'm sure you know you're way out."
"There is a party tomorrow at my mansion. Everyone is obligated to show."
"Afraid no one will show up by free will?" TJ taunted him. I held back my laughter but Sam seemed terrified. Sylver noticed Sam's reaction and dragged TJ out of the room.
"I'll let that one slip." Orson gritted through his teeth.
"Thanks for stopping by to tell us. Please never come again." I walked them to the front door and slammed the door in their face for good measure. The rest of the brunch was mainly filled with talks about the party tomorrow night.
"TJ, never do that again." Sam said.
"Why? Jen does it all the time."
"She already gives me enough headache, don't increase that." Sam sighed.
"No promises."
"I'm proud of him. I wish I came up with that." I laughed.
"Don't encourage it." Sam sighed.
"Sorry, not sorry." TJ and I said at the same time.
"Just be careful at the party." Vaughn interfered. "I have a bad feeling about this."
"Enough with all the worried talk. We need to speak outfits." Lilith started off. TJ started clapping enthusiastically. All the girls looked at him, the boys trying to escape from the upcoming conversation.
"I already have the perfect outfits planned out for everyone." TJ was completely in his element.
"Isn't it more important to take this guy down?" Sylver crushed his dreams. TJ looked at him offended and slapped him on the shoulder.
"If we want to take him down, we should look damn good while doing it." TJ defended himself. "What's wrong with looking fierce?"
"Fine, whatever." Sylver surrendered.
"Can you just keep it simple for us?" Drew tried to save all the guys.
"We'll see."***
