Everything was photographedand in this album, but no one was there with us. Right?

"Earth to Jenny!" Someone screamed.
"Let me try." Another voice joined. "Jennifer!" I snapped out of my trance and looked at my friends.
"I'm here, no need to scream." I laughed it off.
"We have all the reasons to scream, you were out. Non-responsive. It was freaky, we have been talking to you for like 5 minutes." Pascal sighed as he sat down.
"Guys, she was just deep in thought." Mike shrugged.

Tonight we decided to relax. Everyone came to Mike's house with snacks so we could have a movie night. We are currently all scattered across the living room.
"Here are some blankets." Mike walked into the room. He sat down beside me and wrapped a blanket around us.
"I'm way too single." TJ whined as Pascal did the same thing for him and Angie.
"Here take a pillow!" I hurled a pillow towards his head. He caught it with ease and started hugging it. Connor rolled his eyes and settled himself on the floor.
"I love being single, no obligations to anyone." He calmly said.
"You're not single." Angie replied.
"I know, but someone has to empathize with TJ and none of you are helping." Connor explained.
"I will cherish this pillow forever." TJ cooed. We all started laughing and I finally started to relax.

After two movies I stood up and walked to the kitchen. I wanted to make my hot chocolate with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and mini marshmallows.
"I love our friends but I kinda hate that they're here." A voice muttered from the doorway. I giggled and tried to finish the drinks.
"Why is that?" I turned around and leaned against the counter.
"You know why." He placed his hands on either side of me, trapping me between him and the counter.
"Mike, they can hear us." I whispered.
"I know. I'm not doing anything." He leaned in and kissed me on the cheek. He grabbed some mugs from behind me and walked back to the living room. My cheeks flushed and I felt my heart pounding as I watched Mike leave. I grabbed the rest of the mugs and walked back to the rest. Once everyone had their drinks, I settled back against Mike. After some time I felt my eyes getting heavy.
"Close them. I got you." Mike muttered against my hair as he pulled me closer to him.

I startled awake as a scream was heard in the living room.
"Guys, fog." Angie stuttered barely audible. Without thinking I jumped up and sprinted out the door. TJ, Connor, and Pascal looked at me as if I grew a second head, no one followed the fog. You never know if you would come back.
"Jen, don't..!" Mike screamed from behind me. The rest of his words were unspoken as I ran out of the front door. Soon enough there were footsteps behind me.
"Mike, I'm not going back." I kept running although my lungs were on fire. Seriously, I need to do some more cardio.
"I'm not here to stop you. I know you and once you have an idea, you're a pain in the ass if I try to stop you. I'm here to help." He ran beside me with ease, stupid sports guy.
"Mike, you're running too fast." I breathed out heavily. We ducked down as it started to thunder.
"Jump up." Mike ran in front of me and I jumped on his back. Somehow he managed to run as if I wasn't even on his back.
"Where to?" He asked at an intersection.

"I don't know." I climbed off his back. Without knowing I went into some sort of trance as I walked to the left side of the fork.
"Where are you going?" Mike sounded close. Did he follow me?
"I don't know."
"Just keep walking, I'm right behind you." We made a couple of turns until we entered some sort of clearing.
"Mike, this it." I whispered as I felt the panic rise in my body. The clearance from the picture and my vision. Mike pulled me back behind a tree. He opened the backpack he brought.
"You brought a backpack?" Mike chuckled and threw me my shoes.
"I have a bat near the door and grabbed your shoes on my way out." I looked at my feet and saw my socks. Did I really run out on my socks? Not my smartest move.
"Mike, are you seeing what I'm seeing?" I rubbed my eyes one more time but the image didn't disappear. Mike spun around and quickly noticed the same as me.
"Shit."
