"Tell me what?"
"Everything."

"Are you okay? Why did you lie in there? Those are our dads." His eyes scanned my face for answers. A door slammed closed behind me, Connor next to it.
"Bro, listen. You're her boyfriend, not an officer." Connor teased.
"Ha ha, real funny." Mike chuckled. "Jen, your dad asked if you wanted to stay at my place tonight. He doesn't want you to be alone, you can tell me then." I nodded in reply and tried to avoid Connors burning eyes. He is still not on board with telling Mike everything, sucks to be him though.
"Of course they have something to do with it." Mike sighed.
"Let's get ice cream!" TJ yelled as he dove in the car.

We arrived at the ice cream place and everyone kept giving us these weird looks.
"Is it true? Did you find nana's necklace?" Avril asked.
"I did, yes. The police are on it. I'm so sorry Avril." I tried to walk away but she grabbed my arm.
"Did you see her as well?" She looked so hopeful, it broke my heart.
"Sorry Avril, we didn't." TJ wrapped his arms around her as she sobbed in his chest.
"Come on." Mike placed his hand on my lower back and guided me towards a cubicle. We walked to the back of the place to the most secluded cubicles.
"News sure broke fast." Connor said as he placed the ice creams on the table.
"This fog thing is getting out of control." TJ sighed as he walked towards us. His eyes locked with mine and I instantly knew what he was trying to say.
"Okay, fine." I shrugged Mike's arm off my shoulder and sat up.
"Fine, what?" Connor asked impatiently. TJ and I checked the other cubicles to see if people were eavesdropping.
"It's me, you guys." I muttered.
"You know, this is no time for jokes Jen." Connor sounded pissed. He stood up and tried to walk away. TJ placed a hand on his shoulder before he got too far.
"Dude, she's not lying." His voice cracked and Connor walked back to the booth.
"What are you?" He asked. I took a deep breath before I removed my bracelet. The silver eagle still clearly visible. On my right, Mike took in a sharp breath before grabbing my bracelet and covering the eagle once again.
"We don't talk about this, okay? We have a month until the next fog, we have to find a way to stop it." Mike spoke confidently as if he was prepping his team for a game.
"About that..." I whispered. Three heads shot up as the words escaped my lips.
"You can predict the fog, of course." Connor slumped back in his seat. I grabbed Mike's hand and intertwined our fingers.
"I need you to stay, I want you to stay and I also need you to stay calm." Mike closed his eyes in defeat.
"Just tell me." He whispered.
"It will arrive next week."
