"We're going to find that place. Let's go!"
"Before we go to the woods, can we stop at my place?" Mike locked up and grabbed my hand.
"You want to look up a picture of you in the woods, don't you?" He raised his eyebrow at me. I stood up on my toes and kissed his cheek.
"You know me so well."We arrived at my house after about fifteen minutes of walking. It was freezing outside!
"Winter sure has come." Mike laughed as he shrugged off his coat.
"It did." I giggled along.
"If you grab the albums, I'll make us some hot chocolate." He took my coat from me and disappeared into the kitchen. I slowly made my way into the living room. Soon after, the entire table was filled with photos.
"Did you notice the blizzard outside?" Mike put down the drinks as I tore my eyes from the photos. The snow was falling like crazy outside.
"I hadn't no. Must've been to into the photos I guess." I leaned back into Mike as he wrapped an arm around me.Mike and I have been friends for years. Two years ago we played a round of spin the bottle. The bottle landed on me and after Mike kissed me, I just felt the butterflies erupt. He did too. Shortly after we started dating. It was strange to think about how time flew by, yet my feelings about him never changed.
"Whatcha thinking about?" Mike nudged my shoulder.
"Spin the bottle." I felt Mike chuckle behind me.
"Who would've thought that a stupid game of spin the bottle would lead us to date. Weird thing is, two years later and my feelings haven't changed." He grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers.
"You just spoke what's on my mind." We fell into a comfortable silence, just enjoying the sound of the snow hitting the windows filling the room."Break time's over. Let's get to work." Mike handed me my hot chocolate and placed an album in front of me.
"Can you handle that? Doing two things at the same time." I teased.
"Babe, you don't even know half of my abilities. You may find out soon enough." He gave me a wink and his signature smirk.
"Just get to work casanova." I grabbed the album and noticed Mike grabbing a pile of photos. This will be interesting. The next hour was spent going over photos. A lot of memories came back to me, both good and bad. Thankfully, Mike didn't ask too many questions. Most stories he knew, but now was not the time to go over them.
"Jen, is this what you saw?" Mike turned to me, his face pale. I took the photo from him and my breath hitched in my throat.
"Where did you get it?" My voice was no more than a whisper.
"From this book." He grabbed the book and sat next to me. I grabbed the book from his hand with a quick apology.
"I've never seen this." I quickly flipped through the book. Every single thing I dreamt of was in there. The surroundings, the man, the birds, and me? The last picture made my heart drop. You could see a body laying somewhere near the trees."What is it? Talk to me." Mike mumbled next to me.
"This is everything from my dream or vision or whatever. Look, this is me. My body was somewhere near that tree and I remember floating towards it." Mike pulled a hand through his hair.
"We'll figure it out. Together." Mike reassured me. My mind was racing. How come I've never seen these photos? These are all from the woods. I went back to the beginning of the album and nearly screamed. It was all there, our trip to the woods, finding Rose, Rose attacking me and us leaving. Everything was photographed and in this album, but no one was there with us. Right?***

Taken by the fog
Genel KurguThe mystery of the fog is different per country and per religion. For me, the fog means horror, loss, and pain. It comes when it wants to come and we can't do anything to stop it. There is no going back once you're taken and there is nothing you c...
