The rest of the week flies by faster than expected. And of course my week consisted of, relaxing and spending time with Josh. My life is pretty chill at the moment and I am thankful that Josh is trying to make me relax and not think about school ask much as possible.
Today's the day we fly up to Adelaide. I gotta admit I am excited to be finally going to a game. I don't even remember the last time I went to one it's been that long.
Josh of course helped me back last night, which I am thankful for because I hate packing. So I basically layed on my bed watching Josh pack my stuff. It was quite funny if you were to ask me. Then we just chilled for the rest of the night on my bed.
Josh and Ads are coming to my house and we're all going to go together to the Whitten Oval where we will go on a bus to the airport. Marie's boyfriend is staying over at our house, per Marcus' request. He doesn't want Marie spending the night alone. Which is fair enough, personally I wouldn't want to spend the night alone either, I'd probably get Tiana to stay over.
I chuck my shoes and and head downstairs, grabbing my luggage with me. I'm about halfway down the stairs when the doorbell rings, and I know Ads and Josh are here. I am still struggling to take my suitcase down the stairs when they walk in. Both of them laugh at me, but Ads comes and helps me since Josh can't really do anything with two hands.
"Thanks." I say as he sets the suitcase on the ground and he smiles.
"No worries. But we're only gone for one night.." Ads says and I laugh.
"I know, this is a light pack, isn't it Josh?" I say and Josh nods.
"Trust me, I helped her eliminate heaps of things last night." He says which causes Ads to laugh.
"What, you never know what might happen."
"That's true." Marcus says grabbing my suitcase to load into the car and I smile.
"Well, we better get going then." Josh says and I nod.
We all jump into Marcus' car and drive down to the Whitten Oval, which is a short trip from my house. Marcus was obviously driving and surprisingly Ads sat in the front seat which really shocked me. I thought he'd want to sit next to his best bud, but hey, I'm not complaining...
After around 10 minutes of driving, we finally arrive at the Whitten Oval. I love coming here, it's such a vibe. I love how this place makes hundreds, even thousands of people happy. It brings me joy to know that my brother is also living out his dream. He worked so hard to get to where he is and I know that if it was up to him he'd want to play AFL till at least the age of 45. But we all know that, that won't be possible.
We jump out of the car, grabbing our luggage and walking into the building. A few players and officials are here, but there's still more than half a team to come.
The boys say hello to each other and I get introduced to Aaron Naughton, Josh Bruce and Caleb Daniel.
"Finally another short person." Caleb says and I laugh.
"Something we can bond over." I say and Josh looks at me with a cheeky smile and I know he is about to make one of his short jokes.
"Don't you dare." I warn him and he flashes that gorgeous smile of his and walks away.
"He always makes jokes about my height." I say rolling my eyes and Aaron raises an eyebrow at me.
