Ninety Five

"It's going to be okay." A familiar voice says and I look up to see Aaron's arms wrapped around me and I sob even more. 

"You shouldn't see me like this." I say as he runs his hands through my hair in an attempt to calm me down. 

"If I didn't care would I be here?" He asks and I shake my head. "Exactly." 

Aaron does a good job in calming me down and I am thankful that he is here. It goes to show that at least someone cares for me. 

"What happened?" He asks and I sigh. 

"Turns out Jess is Josh's ex and he's regained feelings for her." I say and Aaron shakes his head. 

"I fucking knew it." He says and I nod. 

"You were right. I should've confronted him earlier so we could've at least sorted it out but it's just gone to shit because he's caught feelings." I rant and he nods. 

"You know what Tahls. As much as it hurts, you need to show him that you don't care, in a few weeks time he'll come running back when it doesn't work out with Jess." He says and I nod. 

"You're right. I just feel like shit." 

"I know you do." He says pulling me into his chest and I begin to sob some more before Marcus comes in. 

"What happened." He says walking over to me as I continue to sob into Aaron's chest. Marcus places a hand on my back. 

"Josh and I broke up." 

"What?" He says and I nod, looking at him and he sighs. 

"What did he do?" Marcus says and I can tell he is getting angry. 

"It was a mutual agreement, we both agreed to break up. So don't go and kill him." I say and he sighs, before letting me continue. "Turns out Jess is his ex, and he regained feelings for her." 

"I thought she looked familiar." Marcus says shaking his head. 

"But there's nothing you can do Tahls, this is his choice and if he wants to test it out with Jess just let him, we all know he loves you too much and will end up coming back." Marcus says and I nod. 

"Just don't make it awkward between you two." I say and Marcus nods. 

"It won't be awkward Tahls. And you shouldn't be worried about that." 

"Well I am." I say and Marcus sighs. 

"I promise you everything will be fine, he's thinking with his dick and not his head." Marcus says which causes Aaron to laugh and I smile. 

"He'll be back, give it a couple of weeks." He says and I nod before Marcus pulls me into a hug and places a kiss on the side of my head. 

"You're a strong woman. Need to show Josh what he's missing." Marcus says and I smile and nod. 

"And that I will do." I say and Marcus smiles. He gets up and walks out of the room, leaving me with Aaron.
