Alpha Grey's Little Rogue

Chapter 5

Leon's POV

We made it back to the pack house and walked in straight up to the alpha's office. I knock and wait for him to call out both of us coming in and taking seats across from Alpha Grey. Before I can even say anything both Cane and I are held against the wall with an angry looking alpha. What the hell did we do?

"Why do you have my mate's scent on you both!" He growls out his eyes shifting between his icy blue and blown out black with his gold wolf eyes flashing in-between. Oh fuck. Who's his mate? "Tell me now!" He yells in our face.

"Alpha Grey who is your mate?" I ask as nice as I can showing my neck.

"You tell me! You both smell like her. You were supposed to be checking on those rogues." He grounds out. Shit, the only female we have touched is Marigold. Oh no that cute little rogue is his mate.

"Alpha Grey, I believe your mate is a lone rogue female that just moved into Newport. We just gave her a ride to keep her safe from the rogues you told us to check on." I quickly say and both Cane and I bare our necks in submission. He lets go and runs his hand through his hair.

"Take a fucking shower before I kill you both then get back in here for your report." Both Cane and I stumble out as fast as we can to take a shower. I have no doubt our alpha wouldn't kill us. He has been waiting on his mate for a while. He's twenty-six most wolves find their mates within a year or two after we shift but he hasn't been able to find her. After we both shower, we make our way back to his office taking our seats again.

"My apologies Alpha Grey, we didn't know." He looks angry but he closes his eyes and huffs.

"Just tell me what I want to know."

"We watched the rogues all day. They just hung out at Maw's until right before your mate got off of work. That's why we gave her a lift. I had a few warriors follow them to see where they are staying. So far, they are just running through the woods not settling down for the night. They are supposed to let me know as soon as they find their camp." Alpha Grey sat back in his seat stroking his chin.

"So, nothing suspicious right now. Could just be passing through."

"Yes Alpha." We both answer him. He leans forward and places his hand clasped on the desk.

"Ok then until the warriors report, tell me about my mate."

"Well, Alpha she's eighteen and just moved to Newport. Maw gave her a job as a waitress where we met her. She is staying at the Inn until tomorrow as she rented an apartment from Linda Willis." I tell him as his eyes shift between his blue and gold. I know he is fighting his wolf for control. I'm surprised he is remaining here and not running to her. "I wouldn't suggest storming down to get her Alpha." I say and he let's out a loud growl and I show my neck.

"Why not!" He bellows.

"She seems like she has been abused Alpha. She is timid and shy. I caught a glance of scars on her arms. She isn't very big and looks malnourished." He let's out another growl and slams his fist into the wall then sits back down.

"Continue." He growls out.

"She looks to be around five foot maybe ninety pounds with long strawberry blonde hair and pale blue eyes. She is looking a little better than the first time we met her. Maw has been keeping her fed and watching over her. She won't say anything about her old pack or anything personal. The only thing she told us is age and that her name is Marigold." He sits there with his jaw clenched and eyes closed. Iknow he is really having to fight to control his wolf.

"Tomorrow you will take me to Maw's. I need to see my little mate. She needs to be with me." Alpha Grey takes a slow deep breath letting it out slowly. "Let me know when the warriors report." He dismisses us and we leave closing the door behind us. Just as we make it to the stairs a loud roar echoes through the pack house along with things being smashed and broken.

"Well, he took it better than I thought." Cane said as we made our way to the kitchen. I nodded and pulled my phone from my pocket placing a call to the maids. Once they pick up, I let them know they will need to replace the furniture in alpha's office tonight. "I bet he'll go to the Inn tonight and sit outside her window." Cane says smirking.

"Yeah, I have no doubt." I say just as a warrior mind links me. "Shit I think we'll all be out there tonight. Warriors said the rogues camp is less than a mile from the Inn and they spotted them sniffing around there." We both turn and head back to Alpha Grey's office. The door is torn off the hinges and the room thoroughly destroyed with our Alpha slumped on the couch with his head in his hands. "Alpha news from the warriors." I call out from the door. He waves us in. "They are camped less than a mile from the Inn and have been spotted sniffing around." A loud growl comes from him as he charges out of the room taking the steps three at a time, he jerks the front door open shifting in mid air running towards town. Both Cane and I shift and follow behind.

"Well, that went well." Cane says to me in mind link as we follow our Alpha to the Inn.
