Chapter 16

Alpha Grey's POV

Sitting outside of Marigold's apartment I take in deep breathes letting her scent calm me down. Thank God she had opened her window, so her scent is easier to smell. Leon had found out who she was and where she came from, but right now I can't do too much about it. I first wanted to get through tomorrow then I'm going to take care of that pack. I'm not sure what I'm going to do, but whatever it is it wouldn't be good. MY ears perk up as I hear Leon's car pulling up to the front and my mate's scent hits me hard. My wolf whines and whimpers wanting to go to her.

"Rafe we can't. We don't want her deciding not to meet us."

"Fine!" He huffs out and puts his head on his paws. I listen as her and Cane open the door and them carrying bags.

"Thanks so much Cane. I hope he'll like the food I make." I smile to myself. She's going to cook for us my little mate is so sweet.

"No problem your best friend has your back." I hear Cane tell her and my wolf wants to growl but I shush him in my head. "Let's watch another movie. It's my turn to pick. I think I want to watch Dr. Strange."

"Fine, but I don't know if I'll like it." My little mate huffs out.

"No, I think you will. It's a great movie." I can't take listening to them anymore, so I get up to leave. Before I head out, I mind link Cane telling him to close the bedroom window so the rogues can't get in. I wait for him to close the window then I head back to the pack. After a long night of training and patrolling I head to bed with the sweet thought of getting to meet my mate tomorrow.

"Alpha! Rogues in the apartment!" I hear in my mind link being jolted from sleep. I jump from the bed mind linking the warriors and Leon. I bust out of the house shifting in mid air running as fast as I can towards my mate's apartment. Damn it how did they get in? As I get to the apartment, I hear growls and things smashing. I skid through the busted open-door seeing Cane cornered as I let out a loud growl. The three rogues turn towards me and the warriors.

"Leave one alive." I mind link everyone. We rip the first two to shreds cornering the third smaller one in the corner. I shift to human and stand over it.

"Shift now!" I command and it shakes its head. "I said SHIFT NOW!" I growl. It shifts revealing a small fragile female. A shirt is passed forward and I throw it at her.

"I'm sorry Alpha they have her." Cane limps over with a huge gash in his side. I could already tell she was gone, and I have some warriors looking for them. I have a feeling I know where they are taking her.

"Take her to the dungeon I'll be back to question her soon. Cane get to the infirmary." I shift and run following the scent of my mate. About an hour away from my pack land her scent disappears along the road which means they threw her into a car. All I can do is go back and see what the rogue has to say. Once back I shift throwing on a pair of shorts and head down into the dungeon. In the last cell the female rogue sat in a corner crying. Leon nodded at me and unlocked the door. Stepping in the rogue looked up and tried to move further away from me.

"I'm not going to hurt you as long as you give me answers. I don't like hurting females especially ones who look to be no older than sixteen. So, we can do this the hard way or the easy way." I tell her hoping she'll be smart about this.

"Y-you killed my d-dad." She said as tears leaked from her eyes.

"It's regrettable but he had my gamma cornered and you stole someone very important to me." I grabbed the seat that was sat over in the corner and sat it down close to her. Looking at the poor girl she had bruises and scrapes all over her thin fragile looking body. Maybe if she got something to eat, she'll feel up to talking. Mind linking the chef I told him to prepare some food and bring it to the dungeon. I sat watching her as she cried softly with her head in her hands. Within ten minutes the chef brought in food. I watched as her eyes grew big as the food was placed in front of her. As soon as the chef backed away the girl tore into the food. Just as I thought she is starving. "Now then, you will be treated well as long as you tell me the truth." She continues eating then nods.

"W-we didn't steal her. Her F-father sent us to bring her h-home. Your Gamma attacked us to try and stop us. We didn't want to fight. We were told she has no wolf and wouldn't put up a fight."

"How many of you are there?"

"Twelve, I just shifted a few months ago and my father wanted to join a pack. Alpha Black said if we brought his daughter back, we could be in his pack and give us what we needed like food. I haven't eaten much in the past week." At that tears streamed down her cheeks again. Shit this poor girl and her father just wanted a pack. Now I know where my mate is and I'm going to go get her. Standing up I quickly left the cell as Leon closed and locked it. Turning back, I look at the small girl.

"You'll be fed well, and I'll have someone bring you some clothes. Leon have someone else come and watch her. Meet me in my office we have planning to do." I headed to my office sitting down in my seat just as Cane and Leon walk in. I see Cane is healing slowly. They must have used wolfsbane on him. They take the seats in front of my new desk. A few minutes later twenty of our best warriors walked in. "Ok gentlemen, her father Alpha Black sent the rogues to bring his daughter back. From what Maw has told me and what Beta Leon found out your Luna has been abused at the hands of her pack. The rogue told me that she has no wolf, so she hasn't shifted." At that I see Cane shake his head.

"That's not true Alpha. She does have a wolf, she asked if we could go running tonight."

"Well, then her father doesn't know that I guess. They were told she wouldn't put up a fight and she had no wolf. I'm guess that her father won't willing give her over even if she is my mate. I'm going to set up a diplomatic meeting and see if I see her. Leon you will go with me. Cane you take the warriors and I want you to wait at the borders for us. Look for any and all areas of weakness that will help us. Once I know if they will allow her to come with me which I am guessing not then we will take her by force."

"Yes Alpha." They all say and bow their head before heading out Cane with them. I pick up the phone and call Alpha Black to set up a meeting.
