Chapter 19

Marigold's POV

I wake up with tingles flowing through my hand and I look over seeing my mate holding my hand his head resting on the edge of the bed with his eyes closed. He came for me. He actually came for me and brought me back to his home. I gently squeeze his hand and watch as he stirs. His eyes flutter open and he looks at our hands before looking up into my eyes. A smile breaks out over his handsome face and I return it with one of my own.

"T-thank you for coming and saving me." I whispered out to him.

"I will always come for you Marigold." He squeezed my hand before kissing it. "I had one of my members bring you some new clothes and I will run you a bath so you can relax." He turns my hand loose and heads into what I assume is the bathroom. I hear the water running and wait for him to return. Once the water turns off, he comes back in the room. "I'll help you to the bath, but I'll let you take it on your own. I know we haven't really been introduced or got to know each other." He whispered that last part shyly. I know I didn't even give him a chance, but he came for me and I can't let him think I'm ungrateful. He helps me from the bed and walks me to the bathroom. He opens a closet and grabs me a white fluffy towel and sets it on the counter. He also hands me a washcloth and has a small table sitting beside the tub with bath gel and shampoo and conditioner. He has thought of everything. "Do you need anything else before I leave you to it?" I shake my head no and before I lose my nerve, I wrap my arms around his neck pulling him into a hug.

"Thank you, Alpha Grey, for everything." I whisper against his ear and he shivers before wrapping his arms around me hugging me back.

"To you I'm just Grey no Alpha title for my mate." He let me go and backed away. "On the back of the door is a robe for you to wrap up in." He smiled and left the bathroom pulling the door behind him. I slipped off the shirt and slid into the warm water sighing with relieve. I wash my body and scrub my hair. After the water grows cold, I climb from the tub and dry my body. Grey even thought of body lotion for me. I rubbed myself down then wrapped myself in the soft robe before heading back into the bedroom. I see the clothes he had left for me on the bed. I get dressed and just as I was about to go looking for Grey, he comes in with a tray of food. He motions for me to sit on the couch and sets the tray down on a table right in front of me. "I thought you might be a little shy, so I brought breakfast to you." I smile at him and he gives me this sweet grin that makes my heart melt. He takes the seat across from me and we eat in comfortable silence.  Halfway through eating I see him mind linking.

"Hey, you actually have a visitor." I start shaking my head no. "It's ok I think you'll like this visitor." Just as he says that a knock comes to the door. He walks over and opens it.

"Move little Grey I need to see my Marigold!" I see Maw slapping Grey out of her way and I can't help but run into her arms. She grabs me into a hug squeezing me tight. "I was so worried about you. I'm so happy Grey brought you back in one piece. I told you he wanted you and wouldn't reject you." I nodded as she continued squeezing me and patting my back. "Now I brought your favorite soup for later and I made you a pie."

"Maw you didn't have to." I start saying and she puts her hand up to stop me.

"I didn't have to, but I wanted to. You're one of my kids now." At that tears start falling down my face. "Oh, hun I didn't mean to make you cry." She says as she wipes my tears with her thumbs.

"It's just that no one has cared for me since my Grandmother passed. I haven't been loved since I was seven." At that my mate rushed over and pulled me over to the couch pulling me into him and Maw sits beside me taking my hand.

"You'll always be cared for here and we all love you even though we haven't known you long." Maw said to me and squeezed my hand.

"Yes, I love you Marigold. I accept you as my mate. I don't care about your past. I know you have had a rough life. I don't know everything, but I can tell you that it doesn't matter to me. You are my mate and I want you. I will never reject you especially for something you had no control over." With those words my heart swelled and over flowed. It's going to be hard, but I'm going to do everything I can to make this work.
