It had been three years since you and Bucky had your wonderful baby girl, Rebecca. You couldn't imagine life any other way, you were so happy with where you were at the moment. Once having Rebecca, you and Bucky decided it would be best to have your own home and not live in the tower anymore.
As much as it pained you and the rest of the team, it was the right decision. You didn't move very far at all, but it was weird not seeing their faces everyday. You all always got together on Friday nights though, unless there was a mission of course.
You and Bucky moved into a cute two story home and you actually felt like a normal family for the first time in a long time. Being an avenger meant life was constantly moving, and although it was still hectic from time to time, you felt a lot more at peace.
Bucky still went on missions here and there, but only if they were low risk, he knew he could never let anything happen to him. He needed to protect you and his baby girl, the two of you were his second chance that he never thought he would get.
It was another Friday night and you were getting ready to head over to the tower. Unfortunately, you woke up with nausea and you just couldn't shake it even after taking medicine. You still wanted to go so you decided to just suck it up and hope it would pass.
"Okay honey sit still for me please!" Rebecca was squirming on your lap as you ran the brush through her light brown hair. You ran your hands from the front of her head to the back, pulling half of her hair up and securing it with a pink butterfly clip, her current obsession.
Right when you finished you could hear Bucky turning the key in the lock. "Girls! I'm back!" Rebecca instantly jumped down from your lap running over to him, making you instantly smile. She truly was daddy's little girl and had him wrapped around her little finger.
She ran over and hugged him around his legs tightly as he bent down to meet her halfway in a hug. He looked up and smiled at you, pulling you in for a quick kiss. "So I got a variety, hope that's alright?"
The team had become obsessed with this bakery down the street from your neighborhood, so every time you went over you brought them their favorite cookies. "That's perfect, thank you Buck." You turned around and set the box on the counter top.
"Okay, I'm gonna go to the bathroom and grab my purse then we can go!" You asked Bucky to help Rebecca with her shoes before you headed into your shared bedroom. Once walking in, you felt another wave of nausea and you closed your eyes, taking a deep breath just hoping it would dissipate.
You thought there was no way you could be pregnant again, but of course the thought was creeping in the back of your mind. "Ugh screw it." You reached down into the cabinet, under the sink and grabbed a pregnancy test you had stored just incase.
After taking the test, you washed your hands and touched up your makeup. You truly thought it would be negative, so you had to stop yourself from freaking out when you saw the pink plus sign clear as day. "Shit." You muttered under your breath, but you couldn't help the smile growing on your face.
You and Bucky hadn't really planned to have another kid but you both knew you wanted to eventually. Knowing that you were going to have another baby with the love of your life made your heart swell. It was hard work being first time parents, but it was also the best experience you've ever had.
"Honey, you ready?" You heard Bucky quietly knock on the door. Startled, you shoved the test back under the cabinet and grabbed your purse, "coming!" You didn't want to tell him just yet, you were still processing it yourself. You grabbed the cookie box and each of you took a hold of Rebecca's hand as you walked out to the car.
Arriving at the tower, the three of you took the elevator up to the main floor, excited to see your best friends. As soon as the doors opened, Rebecca was running out causing you and Bucky to laugh. "Aunt Nat!" She squealed running into the red head's outstretched arms. "And aunt Wanda!" She screamed seeing Wanda walk up next to Nat, poking her side causing her to giggle loudly.
You and Bucky smiled at the exchange, everyone loved your daughter and it was amazing to watch them interact. Eventually everyone trickled into the room and greetings were exchanged to everyone.
Once saying hello, everyone migrated into the lounge, sitting around in the couches and chairs. Everyone was munching on the cookies you had brought and just laughing with each other. You couldn't help but feel a bit emotional at the sight in front of you.
You never thought life would be so perfect for you, it was overwhelming how much love you had in your life. Sam and Steve were playing around with Rebecca, causing you to feel tears well up in your eyes, damn pregnancy hormones.
"Are you alright?" Wanda tilted her head towards you and furrowed her eyebrows. You hadn't realized you were actually crying until she snapped you out of your thoughts. You quickly brought your hands up to wipe your eyes, putting a smile on. "Yeah! yeah I'm totally good."
Now everyone was looking at you concerned, you tried to smile at them but they knew something was off. "Seriously guys I'm fine!" You tried to laugh it off but Bucky pulled you into his side pressing a kiss into your hair. "You sure doll?"
You nodded, "I'm just really happy, truly. I love you guys so much." Everyone visibly relaxed and started to smile at your words. Bucky laughed against you, knowing how emotional you can be sometimes.
"Remember how emotional you were when you were pregnant with Rebecca? You nearly killed me when I didn't bring home the right ice cream." Bucky laughed at the memory, causing the rest of the team to recall you screaming at Bucky at midnight, your seven month pregnant belly very prominent.
You laughed but tensed up, hoping no one would connect the dots. You tried to laugh it off but then you noticed Bucky letting go of your side to look down at you. "Y/N?... are you?" He asked with wide eyes, grabbing his hands in yours.
You could hear a pin drop in the room, even Rebecca was silent watching the adults talk. "Um, surprise?" You laughed, feeling more tears falling out of your eyes. Bucky blinked back his own tears before pulling you up and spinning you around the room.
"We're having another baby!!" He screamed as everyone jumped up clapping. You were holding onto his shoulders as he spun you around, making you laugh. He finally set you down and pulled you in for a long kiss. You could feel his excitement as his lips curled up into a smile.
He ran over picking up Rebecca and pulling her into the hug. "Mommy's gonna have a baby!" Bucky pointed to your stomach, showing his daughter that she would be getting a sibling. Rebecca gasped seeing how excited the two of you were.
Bucky bent down placing a kiss on your stomach then telling Rebecca to do the same. "I love you guys." You pulled your daughter into your grasp kissing all over her face making her laugh.
"Okay, I'm throwing the baby shower!" Tony shouted causing everyone to laugh and roll their eyes. "Thank you Tony, that would be lovely." You smiled at him, you were so appreciative of how much he cared for you like a father.
After many hugs and congratulations, Rebecca had passed out on Bucky's lap and you were growing tired yourself. You said goodbye to the team and headed back down to the car to head home.
Bucky practically smiled the whole way home, squeezing your hand and pulling it over to his lips to plant kisses. "I love you Bucky." You whispered, not wanting to wake up your daughter in the backseat.
"I love you more, I can't wait to grow our family." He moved his hand over to your stomach, resting it just above. You placed your hand on top of his smiling down at the sight. You couldn't wait to welcome another baby into this little family of yours.
