Twelve days later, you were standing on the curb with your suitcase next to you, waiting for Queen to come around the corner and pick you up. You were betting yourself if they'd come from the right or the left.
Well, they came from the left and pulled in right next to you.
"Rush, darling, have we got all day?" Freddie called out, he was in the passengers seat with his window open, smoking a cigarette.
You're the ones showing up ten minutes late.
You picked up your suitcase, began walking over to the trunk but when you made it around the car you saw Brian there, already taking your suitcase out of your hand.
"Oh, thank you, Brian." You said with a smile.
"No problem, really." He shrugged, smiling.
Then you two sort of stood and looked at each other.
I'd let him-
"Let's go!" You heard Roger yell from inside of the car.
You and Brian walked the same way, and he let you in the car first which meant you were between Brian and Roger, a girl's dream, right? You quickly got your notepad out, ready to write everything and anything that was said.
"Freddie?" You asked.
"Yes, dear?"
"Can I have a smoke?"
"Oh, me too, please." Roger added.
"Me as well, actually." John added, shyly.
"For Christ's sake." Freddie chuckled as he handed them out. "Should I give you all meals from my pockets as well?"
Then you noticed Brian was simply looking out the window.
"You're not having one?" You asked, wondering why Brian wasn't the fourth to request a cigarette.
"Brian, here, doesn't smoke." Roger exclaimed.
I'm jealous.
Then you immediately got to writing.
"And what are you writing in there?" Roger asked, looking over your shoulder. "Why are you writing 'and what are you writing in there'? What are you- hey-"
At this point you were just doing it to fluster him.
"Rog?" Freddie asked, trying to get Roger's attention.
"Yeah?"
"Shut up."
"Okay."
Well the car ride was only twelve minutes, but you wanted to be next to Brian for longer. The concerts went well, and before you knew it, it was Christmas Eve and you five were in London. You all secretly got little gifts for each other, nothing big but it would pass, and shockingly, after the concert no one went out. You all came back to your rooms, and the five of you gathered in Freddie's because you wanted to be together and it was the biggest one.
Christmas records were playing in the background, and you were all basically laughing at nothing. It started with Freddie laughing at nothing, then Roger started laughing, then Brian started laughing, then Deacy started laughing, and it was getting so contagious where you had to as well.
Then Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Frank Sinatra came out, and Brian went "Sh!"
"What?" Freddie asked, confused.
"I love this song." Brian said, turning up the volume on the record player.
"This bloody song?" Roger asked, furrowing his eyebrows.
"Yes, Roger." Brian answered. "This bloody song."
Then Freddie stood up, went over to Deacy, and extended his hand. Deacy was still sitting on the floor, so he looked at Freddie's hand then up at Freddie, confused.
"Dance with me, darling." Freddie exclaimed, bobbing his head.
Deacy sort of smiled, looked at you, Brian and Roger like "what is happening?", looked back at Freddie and nervously took his hand.
You knew they were both doing it as a joke, but it was rather nice to see the bond between them as they slow danced to Frank Sinatra. You could see John kept laughing and looking to his side as they were dancing.
But then you noticed Brian's hand being extended to you. You raised your eyebrows as you looked up at him, before mumbling "what the hell?" And taking his hand. He pulled you up by your hand, but he "accidentally" pulled you up too hard and before you knew it your faces were just about two inches away and that's when you made the most meaningful eye contact you'd ever make with someone. You felt the butterflies fly in your stomach as his hand went on your waist while the eye contact intensified. You both knew how you felt about each other, which made it all so much harder knowing you couldn't do anything. Once both your feet started moving, your arms went around his shoulders and his arms wrapped around your waist, pulling your bodies closer. You put your head to the side and rested it on his chest, and closed your eyes. You heard and felt his heartbeat and he closed his eyes as well.
That's when Roger ran out of Freddie's room, and stole your camera out of your bag. He went to the side of you, where your face was facing and took a picture of you and Brian slow dancing with both your eyes closed and slight smiles across your faces. But you didn't know he was taking them. But on "Hang a shining star upon the highest bough" he knew the song was ending and he knew you'd be pissed if you saw him using your camera, so he sprinted out of there to put it back. Then quickly after that, you both heard the lyrics "And have yourself a merry little Christmas now" you knew it'd be over. You'd have to go back to being the platonic friends you are, and act like this little dance never happened. So, you both opened your eyes, and slowly backed away.
John and Freddie started bursted out laughing after the song, because they had spent it romantically slow dancing with each other. Then Roger ran back in.
"Where'd you go?" You asked, tilting your head to the side a little.
"Just to the bathroom." Roger said quickly, dismissing himself.
You nodded to yourself, before turning around and seeing Brian looking at you with his hands in his pockets. His mouth said nothing, but his eyes said everything. "I wish we had more time." His eyes exclaimed. "As do I." Your eyes answered back, before you went back in your room.
The next morning, it was Christmas Day. You were all sitting on Freddie's bed with your little gifts.
"I got you cheese!" You told John, smiling, and putting your gift in front of him. When you did, he looked at the gift and back up at you.
"Thank you." He said, in the most solicitous tone you'd ever heard.
"No problem." You smiled again.
"Wait a minute..." Brian said, slowly, looking as if he was solving a math equation.
"What?" Roger asked.
"I got Deacy cheese." Brian stated, almost disappointed that he wasn't the only one.
"Wait, me too." Roger and Freddie said, before realizing they jinxed each other and quickly turning towards each other.
"Well I need bread now." Deacy sighed, jokingly and immediately making you all burst out with laughter.
