The twenty-first day of July went by surprisingly fast. You woke up, went to the studio, took a nap as Queen was recording while Ollie took notes and pictures, and didn't talk to Brian the entire time.
"Oh, yeah." Roger said as you were all leaving the studio. "That waitress last night," Then you bobbed your head up, and all of a sudden were interested on what Roger had to say. "Did you ever call her?"
"Uh, yeah, actually." Brian answered, looking at his walking feet, shyly.
Wait, what?
"Oh, really?" Roger smiled, turning to face him.
"Yeah." Brian confirmed, nervously smiling and sheepishly shrugging.
"And what happened?" Freddie egged on, wanting to know.
John was looking at you, and you were trying hard to act like you didn't care. Even though you looked totally fine, John saw through that. Ollie was walking backwards so he was facing Roger, Brian, and Freddie because he was walking ahead of them, next to you and John.
"Well," Brian began, raising his eyebrows in an "oh boy" type way. "We're on for dinner tonight."
Someone kill me now.
"Nice going, Brian." Ollie smiled at him, which Brian brushed off with a nod of slight thanks.
"Where and when?" You asked, talking directly to Brian for the first time today.
"Rules. At eight." He answered after a long pause, because he was surprised that you sounded so okay with it and that you talked to him first.
"Damn, Brian!" Roger smiled even more, excited for his friend.
"What?" Brian asked, wondering why Roger was more hyped than he was.
"Rules is fancy shit." Roger exclaimed, referring to the restaurant, Rules. "I mean you'll wear a button-up, a blazer-"
"Yes, Rog, I know the dress code." Brian chuckled, cutting Roger off because he didn't want to hear anymore of Roger's ranting about a date that wasn't even his.
You were mad at yourself. Not even at Brian, but at yourself. You didn't want Brian to go on that date and you couldn't even figure out why. The fact that your future husband was right next to you and the fact that all you wanted was for Brian to say "I'm kidding, I don't have an interest in her." drove you crazy because it was so wrong.
"And she'll wear a dress and good shoes-" Roger tried to go on again, but Brian cut it short.
"Yes, Roger, thank you."
Kill. Me. Now.
*time skip*
It was five-forty-five, two hours and fifteen minutes until Brian's date. As you, Ollie, and Roger were watching television, that's all you could think of.
They're probably going to shag afterward. I hope they do. I don't care.
"Oh, there's a paper in your name that Allen sent." Ollie informed you, interrupting your thoughts.
"Okay?" You asked, confused on why he told you that. "Where is it?"
"You have to pick up from a place called..." Ollie paused for a minute, trying to remember what the place was called. "L.G.?"
Then you heard Roger let out a laugh.
"What?" You asked, wondering why he was laughing at something other than the T.V.
"L.G. is an hour away." Roger chuckled on how you were going to have to drive for an hour, then an hour back.
"Well, Rog?" You asked, waiting for Roger to get up and get his keys.
