It was two months later, the twenty-first day of September. The album was done recording, you were now twenty-four, and Roger was twenty-eight. Ollie and you were staying at Brian's flat, giving Roger a break, meanwhile it was torturing you. Avery and Brian had been on a date every week, so eight dates in total and you all wanted another beach day, in Brighton. Avery was coming to the beach with Brian, separately from you, Ollie and the other three members of the band. You were excited, but nervous because this would be the first time you met Avery, properly.

Once you got to the beach, Brian and Avery weren't there yet, for they left a few minutes after. So, you, Ollie, Freddie, Roger, and John all set up your towels and the umbrella.

"This isn't fair." Roger huffed, taking off his shirt to lay in the son.

"What isn't?" Ollie asked, setting up your towel as well as his.

"They're coming late, and they don't have to do any of the work." Roger exclaimed, shaking his head as he began to lay down.

"You're literally not doing anything." You said, helping John put up the umbrella.

"Oh!" Freddie shouted, jumping in the air from excitement. "There they are!" He exclaimed, pointing to the figure of a tall man and a short woman.

Once they made it all the way over, Freddie immediately scurried his way over to meet her first. Then Roger, giving her a lecture about how she should remember every detail about him, then John, quietly and politely introducing himself. Then Ollie, then you.

"Hi," You greeted her, putting on a fake smile so you didn't appear bitchy. "I'm Y/n."

"Yes, I recall." Avery smiled back, shaking your hand that you extended. "Brian's told me a lot about you." She added, but you could tell a little displeasure in her voice when she said that.

"Well, it's nice to meet you." You said, taking your hand back and breaking the awkward stare.

"Oh, Bri?" She asked, her face turning towards Brian.

"Hm?" Brian replied, looking over at her and interrupting his conversation with Fred for a moment.

"Would you like to go on a walk?" She asked, putting her beach bag down. "Just to warm us up before we go in the water."

"Oh," Brian said, pausing to think about his answer. "Sure, let's go." He smiled, beginning to walk away with his hand out so she could run up and hold it.

You watched them walk towards the water, holding hands and you had never wanted to be in a grave more. It didn't take long for them to reach the wet sand, for your towels were set up about twenty feet away from the water. You watched them change directions, so they walked along the water and not into it. That's when Avery suddenly jumped on Brian's back, so he'd give her a piggy-back ride. Once that happened, Brian froze and you froze. You were both immediately brought back to the night in February. Your first real date, where he gave you a ride on his back across the cold, water. When he told you he loved you.

Brian looked at you, and you looked at him, thinking the same thing. He remembered when it was you on his back, and you remembered the same. You looked at each other for a very long moment, where Avery noticed the glances you were giving each other, and she knew.
And at that moment, it finally hit Brian.

*time skip*

After the day at the beach, it was seven p.m., you and Ollie were back at Brian's flat, you were taking a shower as Ollie was watching television, waiting for you to get out of the shower so he could take one. Brian was back at Avery's flat, where he was trying to figure out how to tell her something. Avery was making a banana smoothie, and Brian was sulking on the couch.
