The night is just so peaceful, hindi kasi umuwi si papa. This night is rare, walang nanakit, walang sumisigaw, hindi kami natatakot. I want it to be like this forever.
There are times that I would go to school with bruises in my body. I have to wear jackets and long pants to hide them.
She cling into my arms which made me flinched a bit.
"My cousin was sent here kaya here na siya mag-aaral. I was the one who make sundo to him sa airport. He's staying somewhere in palawan kasi, may vacation house sila roon, but he had lived most of his life in america," she explained while motioning her hands in the air with her forehead creased.
Paolo saw us and wave his hands, nakita ko namang napairap si Yameia. Oh boy, your girl her is not in the mood. Feel ko kasi, Paolo likes Yameia and this girl here do not care about it.
"Ang what?"
Kumunot ang noo ni Paolo kay Yameia and he made face!
"Ang what?" he said and mock Yameia, mimicking her voice. "Inang 'to oh, arte!"
"What?! you think saying that is maarte?!" naiinis na tanong ni Yameia kaya bago pa ulit sila mag-away tinanong ko ulit si Paolo.
"Ano nga?"
"Open na ang SSG election!" masiglang aniya. "Bad news, kinuha akong president."
Sa dinami rami ng estudyante rito? why would they chose us? bakit kami? at higit sa lahat bakit ako?!
This organization is meant for those who stand with the students when they do not have the courage to speak up! Therefore, I don't deserve that. I don't want to."
All of a sudden, Miss Tine, the SSG adviser, walk into our classroom and greeted us.
"Good morning, grade 11! some of you may heard the news right? there will be an upcoming SSG election. Majority of the officers that are chosen are here in senior high school. Well except for those lower positions, we might choose a student from junior high school," she smiled.
How I hate eye contacts!
"Miss Alegre--" she called.
