It was officially the day. Saturday—the last time I dwell on the past. It was just Mrs Kim and I at home. Taehyung had left earlier. I had just been awaiting the bunny so that we can go to the detention centre.

The doorbell had rung, which would have probably been Jungkook. I expected him to text me upon arrival, but I guess that worked too. I slid my phone in my back pocket and proceeded to the door. Upon opening said door, I saw someone who was not the cute bunny.

"Jimin?"

"Ready to go?" He asked nervously but confidently as though I wouldn't have had questions.

"What do you mean?" I asked, "Where is Jungkook?"

I had stepped outside, closing the door behind me to avoid disturbing Mrs Kim. Jimin seemed slightly nervous. His hand had risen above his shoulders, only to rub the nape of his neck.

"Well, you see... Jungkook asked me to accompany you."

A look of disbelief had been painted on my face. Jungkook would never do that without my consent first. Something fishy had been going on, and I knew it.

"I refuse." I said blankly, transferring the disbelieve onto the male in front of me, "I'd rather go myself than with a liar."

With that, I had started to tread away with hastened footsteps. Jimin decided to follow behind me, desperately trying to catch up.

"Wait!" He yelled, "please, wait! Let me come with you!"

I abruptly turned around, facing him. I had seemingly towered over him, despite the fact that he was taller. My aura seemed to have consumed him.

"Tell me the truth," I spoke monotonously, "Where is Jungkook?"

He exhaled a deep sigh. I wasn't sure whether it was a sigh of defeat or a sigh of relief that he had gotten me to stop.

"I asked him to let me go with you instead." He let out.

"Why?" I asked brutally, "for you to repent in my presence?"

He went silent. My words might have struck something in him. He seemed like he didn't want to respond to that.

"Taehyung asked me... well..." he mumbled, finding the right words, "his condition to forgive me was to take you somewhere."

"Where?" I asked blandly.

"I-" he stuttered, "I can't tell you."

I scoffed at him. The audacity that he could have had. I wondered whether he just expected me to believe him after all that had happened.

"I don't have time for this," I chimed as I walked away, not wanting to miss the bus to the detention centre.

Needless to say, he followed me the whole way. He had gotten on the same bus as I did, sitting few seats away from me. I pretended not to know him.

When we were finally at the entrance to the detention centre, he was still behind me. He kept a respectful distance, but one where he could intervene if any conflict happened.

I was about to walk in when I noticed that he had stopped. He watched me walk towards the door but chose to keep his distance. After exhaling a deep sigh, I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.

"I'll be back," I shouted, earning his attention, "don't go anywhere."

After seeing his nod filled with contentment, I walked. Trepidation had been coursing through my veins. The freedom which—for so long—I had longed for, was almost palpable.
