Cherry sat on on the edge of his bed hugging himself tightly. His hair was tucked behind his ear, held together loosely in a braid, he was staring at the wall trying to gather the energy to get up out of bed, but no matter what he tried, he couldn't gather the energy.
"Carla... what's the time and date?" Cherry asked, laying down on the bed, rolling onto his side to face the window. The curtains were closed tightly, not letting any light in, whether it was sunlight or moonlight.
"It is July seventh, and the time is four thirty seven pm master." The AI replied, before leaving Cherry in the silence again. He sighed, grabbing a pillow from the head of his bed, holding it tightly to his chest.
"Carla, message Kojiro" Cherry mumbled closing his eyes. He had a message saved for emergency situations, although he didn't feel like this was bad enough for an emergency he didn't have the energy to send his best friend a new message.
A loud knock brought Cherry out of his thoughts, he was about to get up but the sound of the door unlocking made him stay where he was. Cherry had given Kojiro a key to his house in return for the keys top his place, they rarely used them but it was there if they needed it.
"Kaoru!?" Kojiro called up the stairs, from the front door. "Kaoru?"
Kojiro ran up the stairs heading to Cherry's bedroom. Pushing open the door slowly, he saw Cherry laying in his bed, still hugging the pillow tightly. Cherry looked over at Kojiro, and sat up to try to look less tired and ill.
"What happened?" Kojiro asked walking over to join him, Cherry didn't reply, only looked at him. "Kaoru, you look like shit, what happened." Kojiro sat down next to him, pulling him into his lap gently.
"I'm find, just a bit tired." Cherry replied mostly trying to convince himself more than Kojiro. "I know your worrying.. Joe, but I'm fine."
"Yeah no you're not. I know you're not because I've been here for five minutes and you're yet to insult me." Kojiro replied braiding the loose hair on Koaru's shoulder, "You also didn't turn up to S last night, Langa skated against Miya, and I know you wouldn't miss that for the world."
"Shit.. I thought that was tonight." Cherry mumbled closing his eyes putting his head against Kojiro's chest, despite being exhausted, sleep was starting to feel further and further away.
"When was the last time you slept?" Kojiro asked, breaking the few moments of silence in the room. "Your mind is usually working, or at least better than this."
"Says the dumb gorilla, very funny." Cherry rolled his eyes, mumbling quietly.
"There it is, but you still avoided my question. When was the last time you slept?" Kojiro asked again, wrapping his arm around Cherry's waist, putting his chin on top of Kaoru's head.
"Uhh, Tuesday.. I think." Cherry replied, leaning onto Kojiro's arm, curling up slightly.
"Kaoru.. that was four days ago. It's now Saturday, you need sleep, right now." Kojiro picked Kaoru up, bringing him to the head of the bed, he placed him down tucking him under the blankets, making sure he was comfortable. "Get some rest."
Kojiro stood up straight again, turning to walk away to give Kaoru some peace. He felt a hand tug gently on his own hand, he looked down at Kaoru who was looking back at him.
"Please stay.." Kaoru mumbled, tangling his fingers around Kojiro's. Kojiro smiled down at him gently, letting go of his hand to walk over to the other side of the bed, laying down behind Koaru.
"Of course." Kojiro replied, wrapping his arms around Kaoru's waist, holding him closer. "Get some sleep. I'll be here when you wake up" Kojiro reassured, placing a kiss on top of his head. Kaoru didn't reply, already fast asleep, there was a smile on his lips looking peaceful.
Kojiro smiled gently down at him, curling around him, closing his eyes to sleep alongside Kaoru.
"I love you.. Kaoru."

Sorry this took a while to get out. I had a lot of exams, but now school is over for me so I'm hoping I'll be able to post more oneshots and short stories in the upcoming months.
