"Don't worry, Astrid. Loki is strong. He will make it through." I said, placing my hand on my friends shoulder. I stared into Astrid's pretty green eyes. I knew she had a thing for Loki, so she was most likely concerned very much for him. She turned her gaze to the small chamber where Loki sat unconscious. I wished we could help him.
"Mew." I looked down as a black cat with a little green costume that resembled Loki's armor, weaved around my legs.
"Hello, Pine." I said, petting his jet black fur. Pine was Astrid's lifelong companion. Pine was a special cat to. He would live as long as Astrid, and he had the ability to communicate with her through a sort of telepathy. Both Astrid and Pine adored Loki. I remember a few years ago, Astrid had given Pine the special 'Loki Suit' and then showed him to Loki. It was one of those rare times were Loki laughed. Ah, those were good times. But those times were over.
"Come here Pine." Astrid lifted Pine up, and he licked her cheek, as if trying to comfort her. Then, suddenly there was a noise from inside Loki's chamber. Astrid and I both turned to look at it. Loki slowly lifted his head up. He pushed the locks of black hair from his face, and stared at Astrid, Pine and I.
"Meow!" Pine yelped, leaping out of Astrid's arms. He pushed his pink nose against the forcefield.
"Pine?" Loki asked weakly. Pine nodded. "Mew!" Pine mewed in a concerned tone of voice.
"Loki!" Astrid said, rushing up to the forcefield. "Are you ok?" Loki gave a slight smile.
"Do I really look ok?" He said in a jokingly tone. Pine began scratching at the forcefield.
"I mant mie Loki!" He mewed. I laughed. Pine often tried to speak English, and he was getting pretty good at it.
"It's ok, Pine." Loki said. "I'll survive....hopefully."
"Loki, don't say that. You will survive." I said in a hushed tone. As I finished my sentence, the door to the prison slammed open, and Thor stormed in.
"GIVE IT UP BROTHER!!!" He shouted, shoving Astrid and I out of the way. Pine hissed and clawed at Thor's leg. "I KNOW YOU STILL HAVE THE TESSERACT!!!" He yelled, slamming his fist on the button that opened the forcefield. I could see a look of fear in Loki's eyes.
"Thor, stop!" I said, but he ignored me. He grabbed Loki by his arm and lifted him up.
"WHY DID YOU LIE TO ME???!!!" Roared Thor. Loki looked terrified for his life.
"W-what do you m-m-mean?" He stuttered out weakly.
"THE TESSERACT YOU IDIOT!!! S.H.I.E.L.D DOSENT HAVE IT!!! THEY SAID YOU STILL DO!!!"
"But I-I don't." Loki said, looking Thor in the eye. Thor threw Loki's bloody body to the ground. "YOU ARE A LIAR!!!" He roared.
"THOR STOP!!!" Moira and I both shouted in unison.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT???!!!" He yelled at us. Astrid and I took a step back, and Pine growled.
"Do you even care for your brothers well being?" Astrid asked bravely.
"Yeah, he Is practically dying, and your still tossing him around!" I growled.
"Meow mew mew!" Hissed Pine, even though we had no clue what he was saying.
A look of horror came into Thor's eyes as he turned back around to face Loki, who was cowering in the far corner of the cell.
"I-I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me." He dropped to his knees and gathered his brother into his arms, pulling him into a light hug. Was it just me, or was Loki looking paler then usual?
"This is awkward." Astrid whispered into my ear.
"Why?" I gave her a confused look."
"Loki's not wearing a shirt."
