Pine Is Awesome

I was grateful for the shirt that Thor brought me. It helped cover up all the cuts and wounds. I looked nearly perfectly normal. Except for my face. It was all messed up. I still couldn't see out of the eye that got hit with the whip, and the skin was all red and swollen and bloody. My charm was gone. But I would thankfully survive. I had just been having a conversation with Astrid after Thor and Moira left to give us some peace.
"I'm sorry this had to happen." Astrid whispered, on the verge of tears. "All your handsomeness-I mean um...yeah your handsomeness is ruined."
"Mew meow." Pine mewed from his perch on Astrid's shoulder.
"I know it will heal, Pine, but there will be scars." Astrid whispered to her cat, stroking his ears. Pine shook his head.
"Mew mew meow." I wish I knew what Pine was saying. It was a little awkward watching Astrid having a conversation with her cat.
"Astrid is right." I said weakly. "There's no chance of no scars." That sent Astrid over the edge, as she began to cry. I felt so bad for my friend. Did I mention that? Yeah Astrid and I had been friends since we were really young. She also had a bit of a crush on me. And truthfully I liked her back. But I would never admit it. Besides, I do quite like Allie. But like I said, I wouldn't ever admit it.
"Ash, I'm sorry." I said in a weak voice. "I didn't mean-" "No, Loki, it's ok." She said wiping the tears off her pretty face. Just then, the doors to the prison squeaked open.
"Loki?" Called out a familiar voice. It was that of Allies. She began down the hallway, towards Astrid. "Is Loki here?" She asked Astrid. Astrid nodded to my little cell.
"LOKI!" Allie called out, pushing against the force field. "What happened to you."
"The guards and Odin." Hissed Astrid. "Under that idiot, Odin's orders the guards tortured Loki." Allie turned to Astrid. "Why is Odin so cruel?" She whispered. "I don't know." Astrid replied.
"Hallo girls!" Came a cheerful voice from the end of the hallway. The girls turned, and I turned my head to see who it was. Two guards pranced down the hallway. One with a...knife and the other with a whip. Oh no.
"We're back for round two, Loki!" One of them snickered.
"NO!" Allie and Astrid both shouted in unison.
"Oh but we must! Every day until his punishments over!" Cackled the guard with the knife. His words rang through my head. 'Every day until his punishments over.' That's 365 days. And each day I would go through this. If I don't bleed to death first. Pine hissed at the guards.
"We will not let you do this to Loki!" Growled Astrid.
"What are you girlies gonna do, huh? Cry until we are annoyed to death? Scream until our eardrums burst?" Mocked the guard with the whip.
"YOO GIZ MAR SHOOPID!!!" Hissed Pine, trying to speak English.
"Did that little rat just call us stupid?" Asked one of the guards, a smile plastered on his face. "How pathetic."
"HOW DARE YOU CALL MY PRECIOUS CAT A PATHETIC RAT!!!" Yelled Astrid. "I WILL TEAR YOU APART AND THEN HAVE MY PET DRAGON EAT YOU!!!"
"Psh, I highly doubt you have a dragon. Now step aside so we can carry out Odins orders. You wouldn't want to anger the king." Sneered the knife guard. That pushed Astrid over the top. Pine let out a battle yowl, a lunged at the knife guard. Astrid and Allie both Attacked the whip guard. I watched as the screeching tangle of Pine and the guard became bloody and quite terrifying to tell the truth. Pine was a tough little warrior.
The guard stabbed at Pine, but Pine's adorable armor, a cat sized replica of mine, protected him. Within a minute Pine sent the guard running off in fear. Pine streaked after him. Allie had frozen the other guard in place, while Astrid repeatedly slapped his face.
"Wow good team work." I said, giving a weak smile. But as I finished my sentence, Pine came screeching back down the hallway.
"Meowmewmeowmewomewmeow!" He said hurriedly.
"Woah, chill Pine. What's wrong?" Asked Astrid.
"Meow mew meow meow meow mew meow!" Pine repeated, slower.
"Oh shoot." Astrid said, a look of fear in her eyes. Just then, a horde of guards poured into the room.
