-'So, you're Ray Granger... How is she in the future, huh?'

Ray looked at you, his face aloof, but eyes calm and soft. After having some weight come off of his heart, he could talk to you normally again.

-'By the way, how did you end up in the adoption centre?'

His fists clenched the fabric of the bed tightly, making his knuckles go white, while another tear fell on it. Ray was crying again, listening to his parents bickering, calming himself down so he could focus on sleeping again.

His father was mentally and psychologically ill after the war, which caused his behavior to change towards Ray's mother. They never stopped, it was just yelling and screaming, which unpleasantly made Ray very uncomfortable and stressed.

He was too young to process all of this, which was unfair for his mental state, so all he could do was hope for the best. But the best never came.

It was too quiet...

Ray opened the door of his room, silence making his ears empty and thinking he got deaf, but that wasn't it.

He was standing in front of a traumatizing moment of his life, which didn't leave his brain even after trying so hard.

Ray's mother was laying on the floor, red liquid coming out of her neck, her eyes white, skin pale and a knife right through where it was bleeding. Ray looked around, horrified by the scene he just witnessed, his panicked state not letting him do anything, even cry. He could hear evil laughs from the living room, a few bottles shattering on the ground and it's pieces falling in the same annoying kind of a way.

The red liquid made the whole floor dyed, maybe even leaked through the woods of the house. It was too hard to watch this, so Ray decided to run away. But, before that, he had to do something very important.

-'Goodbye, father. Rot somewhere else.'

For some nights, Ray was sitting under a bench, where not many people sat or even hang out. His mind often told him to give up and ease his pain, but he couldn't find the courage to save himself.

The truck saved his life.

A man in blue suit came out of it and grabbed Ray, which was how he appeared in the adoption centre.

Ray's ideal type of future was death.

He just wanted to perish from this world, his young age making it hard to think he's seriously mentally ill.

He was in the adoption centre for five years, until a tall and pretty woman came inside and not remembering much, Ray was already in someone's arms, in a big house.

Hermione was caressing Ray's black wavy hair, making him feel safe and comfortable around her, for him to be free in the household. Hermione wanted some support, after death of her loved one and best friend, which she gained from a little boy.

Not only that, but Hermione felt some connection with Ray right after she saw him in there. His face was tired, it looked like he didn't sleep well.

And it was true.

Hermione brought Ray to the doctors, whom could read a person's mentality, psychological state and other illnesses. His condition was very noticeable, after what happened to him, and it made clear sense after reading his mind with magic.

-'This young boy is diagnosed with Anxiety, ADHD and post traumatic disorder, known as PTSD. From what we saw, his condition got worse by mental illness of his parents too, not only affecting his Brain's Structure, but disorienting some of his senses. Insomnia is the most suitable illness that could affect him soon, and it can grow into FFI : Fatal familial insomnia.'
