Chapter 7 - the way of the proxy

Jeff pov

What a weird door I thought to myself. something odd is going on her.

"What's in that door?" I asked rose.

"It's the basement, and none of your business." she responded before I could ask her for specifics. I decided to let it go, ill come back later to check it out with slendy anyways. I turned and walked back to the living room, rose right on my heels. slenderman was staring at the cookies and tea, I snickered and he turned to me, even without features I knew he was glaring. rose looked bewildered by the exchange in looks, then her face cleared and she started laughing hysterically.

"Oh man, slendy, I'm so sorry. I forgot you didn't have a mouth!" she said between laughs.

"It's quite alright, child." he responded classily. I scoffed and took a couple cookies, I shoved one in my mouth and said

"Whatever, more for me." Rose looked at me in annoyance. "what!?"

"That was rude, what if they weren't for you?" she exclaimed raising her eyebrow. I scoffed,

"Of course they were for for me! I'm fabulous! how could they not be?" She sighed

"Wow, one of your famous sayings. when are you gonna say 'go to sleep'?" she said sarcastically.

Slenderman's pov

Hmmm she is quite the little girl. she may be a great addition to our little group.

"Rose, I apologize but we must be going now." she turned to me,

"Awe, so soon?!" she said with a whiny tone. Jeff chuckled and exclaimed proudly

"Are you gonna miss me, or what?!" she thumped him on the arm and he grabbed it, hissing from the pain.

"Yes, unfortunately I have some business to take care of." I said. she pouted and nodded

"Okay. goodbye, I guess"

"Till next time, child"

"See ya, you bit-"

Rose's pov

And they disappeared. I sighed, well my fun is over, time to get back to work. I cleaned the dishes, I inspected the tea, none if it was drunk but it was still warm. I took a sip, delicious. I loved jasmine tea, it's just so tasty. I finished of the tea and ate a cookie. they were okay but sweet isn't really my passion. I took the plate and mugs up from the coffee table and walked into the kitchen to clean them up. my house was beautiful but plain, I only bought what I needed and nothing more. so when I went into my kitchen all I saw was clean granite counters with nothing on them, a high tech stove with a nice tea pot on it and a stainless steel sink. I didn't have a dishwasher, I liked to wash everything by hand. I set down my mugs in the sink and covered the remaining cookies with plastic wrap and put them on the corner of the counter. I did my usual routine after that, taking a shower, putting on my pyjamas, brushing my teeth, that sort of thing. I checked the time, 12:53. I sighed and shook my head, I have school tomorrow.

~time skip to tomorrow~

Wednesday, great, the middle of the god damn week. I was at school already because I woke up very early in the morning. I'm not sure why but I felt someone staring at me when I woke up, probably why I woke up too. but I dismissed it as lack of sleep and got up anyways. at school I was considered pretty weird, and they were right of course. I didn't focus on my appearance and usually hid my body under bulky clothes, it was no different today as I was wearing a gigantic hoodie (at least three sizes too big), black sweat pants and some red, black and white sneakers. all the girls made fun of my 'masculinity' and all the guys ignored me, which suited me just fine.

"Rose! Rose!" came a familiar voice from behind. I turned to see it was my best friend, Iris.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked in a monotone voice.

"I'm good, but how are you? you look awful! she exclaimed, gaining some annoyed looks from our fellow students.

"Thanks" I said sarcastically "I had a terrible sleep last night, and I feel very tired"

"Oh, I see" she said with a cheeky grin on her face. I looked at her quizzically, I knew she was up to something. "then your not going to want to do the math test today, are you?" I groaned and face palmed myself.

"Noooo! your kidding?! that's today? gawd!" I yelled exasperated.
