"We found your kid," Ian said, panting.
The room went silent. Everyone snapped their heads to look at Ian, including Owen and Jenna. I guess he hadn't told them he was going to break the news?
"You what?" Iris laughed.
I mean, really, it was crazy. Nora is dead. Nora has been dead for 10 years.
No, it's not crazy.
It's impossible.
"At least, I think we did," Ian stood up.
"Well- Well, how do you know it's Sara? She doesn't have the same name-" Donner started, quickly jumping in.
"We didn't say it was Sara yet." Owen stepped in, clearly suspicious. "Do you know something we don't?"
Donner paused, then scoffed. "No, I just assumed it was her because you guys came from the coffee shop-"
"It could've been another worker. Why did you assume it was Sara?" Owen stepped closer to Donner.
Why is he being so protective?
I decided to break the tension. "So, is it Sara?" I asked, stepping between them.
Owen turned to me. "I mean, yeah, ask Ian. He vibed her and all of a sudden we needed to go. I think that was a good enough sign."
I looked at Ian, my eyes widening. "You vibed her? What did you see?"
Ian started to speak, but Caitlin stepped forward.
"Okay, guys, come on, this is ridiculous. We can't be vibing and making assumptions about some random girl we met a few weeks ago. We know Nora's dead, so what's the point of all this?" She said.
No one really knew what to say. After a few moments of awkward silence, Owen turned around to face all of us.
"Look, I know it sounds crazy, but I had this- this gut feeling. Something inside told me it was her. Whoever she is, though, I think she might be in trouble." He said.
"What do you mean, trouble?" I asked. Part of me didn't want to be meddling into this girl's life, but if she was in trouble, it was literally my job to help her.
"I-I don't know, it almost seems like she doesn't really know what's going on. Like someone put her under a rock as a kid and just let her go. Like, last week, I saw her get a little too excited over a dog." Owen explained.
"And a glass fell off the counter all on its own when she got nervous." Jenna piped in.
"Do you think she could be a meta?" Caitlin questioned.
"I mean.... there's definitely something she's not telling us." Owen declared, creating yet another awkward silence.
I didn't know what to do with all this information. We had to figure out a plan, or-
"Did you guys know that there's a whole museum dedicated to The Flash?" A familiar voice broke the silence.

"How do people just keep walking in here?" Cisco yelled, throwing his hands up in the air.
I giggled. "Oh, sorry, am I intruding?"
Everyone shook their heads no, then Barry stepped forward.
"Yes, there is a Flash museum, it's right down the street. Have you been yet?" He asked.
"Uh, no, not yet-" I started.
"I can take you!" Owen blurted out. Caitlin snorted for some reason.
"Yeah, okay, we'll all go at some point. Sara, may I speak with you alone? I'd like to discuss you getting another 'internship'." Donner said, gesturing me into the hallway.
it had to happen at some point.
"No!" I blurted out. Everyone turned to look at me. "Uh- I mean yeah, sure," I said, reluctantly following him into the hallway.
all i could focus on was the sound of donner walking beside me, his leather shoes clicking repeatedly as they hit the concrete floor below us.
my hands were cold. i was cold. this place was cold.
i tried to keep my head down, focusing on my socks, but i couldn't for too long. i looked up to see another lab doctor give me a look stained with pity. she had a notebook in her hands.
they all had notebooks. they were always watching.
all i could focus on at the moment was the light buzz of the handcuffs on my wrists. everything seemed to mute when they were on. i heard a muffled voice call my name.
"sara?"
"Sara." Donner said.
I looked around. Suddenly I was back in the hallways at S.T.A.R. Labs. I crossed my arms, stepping back from him.
"What are you doing here?" I spoke in a low voice.
"I'm here to take you back home, I just need to-"
"You are not taking me to that place ever again. I'm on my own now." I said through gritted teeth. "That- that place, it's not home, and it will never be."
"Sure, you're on your own, but are you really happy here? Plus, you're sick. I can fix you-"
"You're the one who made me like this!" I screamed, suddenly realizing the volume of my voice.
I heard a light bulb blow out and shatter across the hall, and suddenly my head hurt again. It was getting worse.
Donner stepped forward. "You need me. You're tearing yourself out from the inside, and soon, you'll rip your self apart." Donner said menacingly.
I didn't feel safe around Donner. I never felt safe around him. As I ran back down the long hallway, tears filled my eyes. I tried so hard to stay calm, but I couldn't help it. As I ran, more and more lightbulbs blew out, there were sparks flying, and I was dizzier and dizzier.
I barely made it into the Cortex before I hit the ground, blacking out.
