John's POV

John had been more irritable since George revealed to the band that he and Charlotte had finally become official.

...

Earlier this morning

"Hey lads, do ya know what happened yesterday?" George smiled, reminiscing what took place the day before.

"No, we don't," John sighed, strumming a few chords idly.

"Me and Charlotte are a thing now," He twiddled his thumbs, nervous for their response.

"Ohh that's great Geo," Paul nodded encouragingly.

"Congrats, but if you lay a single hand on her in an unloving way, I'll cripple ye," Ringo put up his fist, feigning an overprotective big brother aura. "I trust ya not to do that,"

"I would never," George promised.

Though it seemed all the boys were happily talking about their mate's success, John had other feelings about the matter. He felt his heart tighten and his breath hitch in his throat. His knuckles gripped the neck of his guitar with such force that they turned white.

...

Paul ripped him from his thoughts by holding out John's instrument so he could take it from him. He sighed and snatched it from his hands and began strumming a few chords leisurely.

Paul recognized his bitter attitude and without another word, his smile dropped a bit and he walked away.

"Hey, Lotti," John heard Ringo greet her.

John looked up from his guitar and saw Charlotte step into the room with grace in every step. Charlotte waved to Ringo before scanning the room before making her way to George with an unmistakable smile on her face.

"Hey, Geo,"

Charlotte pecked him on the lips before sitting on the chair next to him. John watched from afar and grimaced when they made contact. He shook his head and focused on his instrument again.

Though John tried to remain quiet and keep his eyes on his own business, he couldn't help but occasionally look up to George and Charlotte. Each time John would, he scoffed in disdain and grumbled under his breath.

After thirty more minutes (torturous for John), Lotti bid her farewells and exited the room leaving George with a giddy childish smile on his face which prevailed for the rest of the day.

...

The boys had finished in the studio and left the building, each with a cigarette dangling from their mouths.

John had hoped that his bandmates wouldn't talk about George's and Charlotte's good news and his wish was almost granted until they sat down at the bar and George began talking about her again.

It was evident that the boy loved her very much. He would talk about her any chance he could and always seemed to make the conversation about her. George also likes to gaze out into space and daydream about— you guessed it— Charlotte. Other times, when he would have free time he would find a payphone and ring her up. Though she did have school and couldn't talk with George all day, George found a way around that and the boy decided he would visit her every day with a cup of tea and a bag of biscuits.
