Charlotte's POV
They arrived at the set ten minutes late, to Brian's inevitable disappointment. John strode in with his usual striking confidence, while George and Charlotte walked a few feet behind him, hands clasped together and their shoulders pressed against each other.
Brian arose out of seemingly nowhere and shot a short-lived scrutinizing downcast scowl towards the three. But after they apologized for the hindrance to his schedule, he softened and ushered them onto the train, preparing for another scene being filmed.
"We've got a long day today boys," Brian spoke in front of the band and Charlotte and Pattie, who were beside them at the time. "especially seeing as we had an unfortunate, setback, that happened. I expect you three to make up for that lost time, yes?"
John nodded begrudgingly, messing around with one of the swooning teenage girls to busy himself. George said 'yes, sir' like the respectful young gentleman he is, which caused Brian's frown to shift to a slightly pleasant smile. Charlotte responded the same way George did, not wanting to be on the bad side of Brian this particular morning.
"Great," Brian clapped his hands together and walked off, probably to discuss business with one of the directors.
John deviated his attention from the teenage extra to Charlotte, who was, of course, standing right beside George.
"Hey, Lotti," He greeted, rocking back and forth on his heels idly with his hands behind his back.
"Hey," She smiled, releasing herself from the grip of George, and began walking with the man.
"So, ya never answered me question," The familiar (and quite customary) smirk revealed itself onto his face.
"Which one?" Charlotte knew the malicious grin on his face but was curious.
"How did it feel?" John snickered, raising his eyebrows anticipatingly.
"Oh," She sighed, rolling her eyes jokingly, but decided to give him a small window into what happened that night.
"Well," Charlotte carefully lead him into another part of the train that was uninhabited. "It was nice. Since it was my first time, he lead the way and y'know, pleasured me,"
She was scrupulous to make sure that she didn't reveal too much detail. Luckily, John was content with the vague description and nodded thoughtfully.
"Well, my first time I—"John started.
"John, I don't— I'm not interested in hearing the story, thanks," Charlotte laughed, holding up her hand.
He sighed with a small pout on his face. Charlotte glanced at her watch and noticed that they'd better get back to the main cars.
Dragging John along, they traveled back to where the others were and shortly afterward they began filming.
...
Nearly the entire duration of the day, Charlotte and Pattie avoided each other entirely. Their brief and fleeting friendship had nearly gone sour and the boys noticed, even George.
Whenever Pattie and Charlotte's scenes were over, they separated instantly and went off in opposite directions.
So when the boys and Brian sat in a group discussing something important, they sat on adjacent sides from one another.
